Mocca Macchiato (White Mini) by Fiedler and Lundgren in 2009. Next was Offroad Coffee Vanilla in 2010. This was a fan inspired return of this product which had been previously produced by V2. Next came Thunder Chrome (Limited Edition) Coffee Supreme Longer+. What's interesting about that one is that I was part of Team Heisenberg, which was commissioned by V2 Tobacco to develop the world's best tasting coffee snus. It briefly returned in 2012 as Offroad Coffee Supreme. In 2013 I reviewed Olde Ving 99 which still remains for sale today. In 2015 I reviewed Epok Cafe Creme, followed by Epok Coffee in 2016. Of all those products, Olde Ving 99 is the only one still produced. The coffee flavor isn't common in the snus world, but it's one many snusers demand! AG Snus looks to be tapping into that market with Kapten Mini Café (Vit Portion).
flavor description for Kapten Mini Café says, "Kapten Mini Café White Portion is a new mini snus and the portions taste like a freshly brewed cup of coffee." This product comes in a 8 gram can with 20 portions for 0.4 gram portions. The nicotine content is 5mg/g (0.5%), which breaks down to 2mg/portion.
When you open the can, the aroma that greets you is a mild black coffee smell with almost a light hint of caramel in the background. The portions are the mini size, so I usually just double up on them. The portion material is pretty soft and feels comfortable in the lip. As far as the flavor goes, it's relatively mild. There is a present taste of black coffee, accompanied by a light hint of caramel. The snus isn’t too sweet, and the flavor is pretty mellow. The flavor lasts a good amount of time; I've found I can keep these in for up to about an hour. When I have two in, the nicotine strength feels to be about the regular nicotine level.
If you're a coffee fan, give this one a try. There aren't a lot of coffee snus products on the market, and you may enjoy it. I'm not a big coffee fan, so this isn't for me. But I found it to be a pretty decent product.
