Small Batch 14 (Citron & Lakrits) White Portion - Review. 12 April 2020.

Swedish Match is back at it again, with a new release in the Small Batch series! This is the 14th release in the Small Batch series, and comes with a flavor of citrus and black licorice! I was excited to hear this, because I really enjoy Licorice Allsorts, and the licorice/lemon flavor is my favorite.  If you're new to Small Batch, this is how Swedish Match describes it: "We at Swedish Match have produced thousands of products over the course of a few hundred years. Our experts are experts in the correct sense of the word. But they have not been tired of developing new ideas. In order for them to get that opportunity - and for Swedish snusers to be able to share it all - we now launch a new range of products called Small Batch, where the flavor is replaced several times a year. Each flavor is produced in a small edition."

The flavor description for this one says, "In this product we have used elements of licorice in combination with a dark rich tobacco and then enriched the whole with light strokes of lemon. Sweetness from licorice gives a fullness to the tobacco and is balanced by the acidic citrus which lightens up and gives a backbone to the flavor."  Each can comes with 24 white portions in the star formation, weighing 1 gram each.  The nicotine content isn't published, but I'd assume it's in the regular strength to strong range.

When you open the can, a tart lemon smell greets you with a little black licorice in the background. The portions are soft to the touch, and comfortable in the lip. I do suggest fluffing them, a they come in the star formation.  The flavor is quite enjoyable!  The lemon flavor comes through as a clear, lightly tart taste of lemon.  It pairs quite nicely with the mild, black licorice flavor.  It's delicious.  The flavor also lasts quite a while!  Usually, I can keep a portion in for up to an hour.  The nicotine strength feels to be around the regular strength range.  I really enjoyed this one, and it's one I would definitely buy again.  Of the 15 Small Batch products I've had so far, this one ranks as the third best one out of the bunch!  Below, you can find a list of all the Small Batch flavors we've had so far, and see my rankings for the entire series.
