XQS (USA) Nicotine Pouches - Review. 12 November 2024.

Today, we're going to be talking about XQS!  If you're a long-time reader of my reviews, you may already be familiar with XQS.  They've been available in Sweden for years, going back to when I first tried them in 2020.  Well, like many others, XQS has an eye on the US and is bringing their line over to America!  They're starting with four flavors, Fizzy Cola (which I tried back in 2021), Tropical (which I tried in 2021), Blueberry Mint (one of the original ones I tried in 2020), and Green Mint (which has been available in Sweden for a few years, but I haven't reviewed it previously).  Now, if you're not familiar with these products, don't worry, I'll be doing reviews of them in this article.  But before we get into that, I want to discuss their commonalities, so as not to be redundant below.

XQS USA Nicotine Pouches:  Commonalities
The Pouch - All of these are slim, and semi-moist.  They are lighter in weight, however.  Each can weighs 10 grams and has 20 pouches, weighing 0.5 grams each.  Meaning, in the lip they will feel a little lighter, and not as well filled as others.
The Nicotine - These come in 2, 4, 6, and 8mg.  For this review, I tried 8mg, which is about the regular strength mark.  I found it to be pretty satisfactory.  However, if you want lighter strength levels, those are available as well.  NOTE:  That nicotine strength is per pouch, not in mg/g.
The Flavor Longevity - All of these have a decent amount of life to them, lasting about 30-40 minutes, on average.

Now, let's do some reviews!

XQS Tropical

Product Description:  "a harmonious blend of sweet and sour mango, passionfruit, and pineapple"

Review:  This one has quite a nice aroma to it.  When I open the can, I pick up a fresh, tropical aroma.  It seems to be a mix of mango, and pineapple.  The flavor is quite good.  I pick up a light taste of pineapple, along with subtle hints of mango.  It's definitely tropical, and lightly sweet in nature.

XQS Green Mint

Product Description:  "a fresh taste of natural green mint and smooth spearmint"

Review:  This one has a pretty sweet aroma of mint to it, reminding me of mint chewing gum.  I pick up some spearmint, along with a hint of peppermint.  The flavor is mild, pretty well balanced, and refreshing.  It seems to be a pretty even blending of light spearmint and subtle peppermint.

XQS Fizzy Cola

Product Description:  "an irresistible fusion of cola and vanilla"

Review:  I enjoy the flavor of cola, so naturally I was going to enjoy this one!  In the aroma, I pick up a sweet smell of cola, along with a subtle hint of vanilla.  In the flavor profile, the cola taste comes through clearly.  It's sweet, and gentle.  In the background, a light tone of vanilla comes through to compliment the cola flavor!

XQS Blueberry Mint

Product Description:  "a refreshing sensation of plump, juicy blueberries dancing harmoniously with a refreshing hint of mint"

Review:  Usually I'm not a fan of mixing mint with other flavors, particularly fruit flavors.  But this one was surprisingly not that bad.  In the aroma, sweet tones of blueberry come through in the beginning, accompanied by a fresh, subtle hint of mint and menthol.  In the flavor, the blueberry taste is present, and lightly sweet in nature.  There are subtle mint tones in the background, but they don't overtake or overpower the blueberry flavor profile.

Rating and Final Thoughts

I've always considered XQS to be a pretty solid product.  In terms of ranking, Tropical came up on top, at 3.46/5.  Next, Fizzy Cola at 3.42/5.  After that, Blueberry Mint at 3.38/5.  And lastly, Green Mint at 3.29/5.  But all of these were pretty impressive.  Compared to a lot of the other stuff available on the US market, these are enjoyable and of a higher quality.  Being made in Sweden naturally makes these more appealing to me, as a fan of the higher quality Swedish pouches!  You can check out their website, here!
