The folks at XQS have released a new, limited edition release for the summer of 2021, this one with a tropical flavor. Hence the name, of course. I've become a fan of XQS, especially because of their
Pipe Candy product, which is super tasty. I was excited to try this one because I love anything tropical. Especially because tropical flavored products pair great with IPAs. And, I'm a lover of all things IPA! I grabbed this one from
SnusMe.com, and their flavor description says, "
A taste of mango, passion fruit and pineapple". Each can weighs 10 grams and has 20 portions, for 0.5g portions. The nicotine content is 20mg/g (2.0%), or 10mg/portion.
The summer is here, and it's time to get a little tropical! Let's check this stuff out. When you open the can, it definitely smells tropical! It has a smooth aroma of mango, along with hints of pineapple, and a light sweetness. The portions are slim, light in weight, semi-soft, and a little dryer to the touch. They have a mild cooling presence in the lip, as well. In the flavor, it's pretty nice, it's definitely got a tropical taste to it. The flavor of mango comes through first, in a natural, clear way. There's subtle hints of pineapple, along with a light sweetness. In terms of strength, it feels about regular strength, due to the lighter portion weight and less nicotine per portion. The flavor longevity, on average, lasts about 40-45 minutes.
Rating and Final Thoughts
This one rated at 3.29 out of 5 for me. Honestly, not a bad score for a nicotine pouch. If the pouches were more full, however, it would really bring the score up. But in terms of flavor, it's quite good. It's a great pairing with an IPA, and something I have enjoyed with the warmer weather. If you want to try it out, make sure and get some before it's gone. It's a limited edition, and they don't stick around forever!
