Knox Red (White Portion) - Limited Edition Review. 21 September 2021.

This is a pretty interesting release.  Knox, as a brand, doesn't usually release limited edition flavors.  I can recall some limited edition designs in the past, but really not limited edition flavors.  This is one I recently saw pop up on Snus24.com, so I was quite curious to check it out.  I'm a big fan of the One Red snus, and this one's flavor description sounded similar, so I had to check it out.  The flavor description for this one says "A white portion snus that combines the taste of tobacco with hints of red berries. It contains flavors of mulberries, blackberries, strawberries and raspberries".  Each can weighs 19.2 grams, and has 22 portions, for 0.87g each.  The nicotine content is 8mg/g (0.8%), or 6.96mg/portion.

When you open the can, the aroma that comes through is mostly strawberry, with some raspberry mixed in, a little cranberry, and some notes of blackberry.  This one is on the sweeter side than One Red, but not overly sweet.  The white portions are semi-soft, moderately moist, plump, and comfortable under the upper lip.  In the flavor, it is on the sweeter side.  The taste is mild, but balanced.  The raspberry and strawberry flavor is up front, and accompanied by subtle notes of blackcurrant and blackberry.  It's wild this limited release is coming in the fall, because this would have been a great summer release.  In terms of strength, it feels about the regular strength level.  The flavor, on average, kicks around for about an hour.

Rating and Final Thoughts

First, the comparison between this one and One Red.  It's similar, in that it's a red berry taste.  However, that's the biggest differences.  With One Red, I notice more tobacco and it's not as sweet.  With this one, it's a sweeter product with a milder tobacco taste.  Both are good, but they do have their differences.  I rated it at 3.67/5.  It's a pretty good product, and I think people who like fruity or sweeter tasting snus will enjoy it.  It is, again, a limited edition, so if you want to try it - jump on it.  And if you like it, buy extra to keep in the freezer.  With limited editions, you never know if they're going to stay around, if they're going to come back, or if they're going to leave!
