Mocca Lakrits Mini Vit - Review. 10 November 2014.

One of the very first snuses I tried back in 2009 was Mocca Pomegranate. It wasn't something I used regularly, but I threw a can in every now and then. I tried the other Mocca product around that time, Mocca Mint. Granted, I wasn't a fan of the Mocca Mint, but it was a vast improvement over the Camel "SNUS" I had been using prior to trying real Swedish Snus.  For some reason, I never got around to reviewing this one until now. I recently did an order with The Northerner so I threw a can in. The product description says "A taste of aniseed and licorice."  One thing I've always liked about this brand is the can.  Mocca is one of very few snus products still being made in the metal cans.  I think the Cuban snus products are still in the metal cans, but those are about the only ones I can think of.  You can tell by looking at the can that it's obviously designed with women in mind.

When you open a can, the aroma that comes through is a smell of black licorice and something that smells like fennel, which is probably due to the anise in the recipe - which makes this snus quite aromatic.  The taste is a subdued but natural taste of licorice with a slight herbal/floral taste in the background.  This one isn't as sweet as other licorice flavors I've had, this one is more natural, but the flavor comes through in a very mild way.  It was actually pretty surprising, I didn't have very high hopes for this snus but the flavor was actually pretty decent.  If you're a fan of licorice and want something that isn't too sweet but more natural and mellow flavored, this would be one to pick up.  And yes, I know I said earlier that I think this product is designed for women, but I know guys that use this too, so if you're a dude you can use Mocca.
