A friend of mine in California recently gave me a couple of "flavorless" products sold out there: Grizzly Original and this one - Velo Smooth. In case you didn't know, California has a ban on flavors. So, you can only buy "unflavored" products, or "tobacco flavored" products. This is one such flavor. I recently reviewed the Velo Plus line and was quite impressed with it. It was vastly improved over the old mini/dry Velo. I haven't been able to find a flavor description for this one, but the side of the can says "Smooth tobacco flavor". So, we'll go with that. Each can weighs in at 10.6g and has 20 pouches, for 0.53g each. The nicotine content is 9mg/pouch (which would be 16.98mg/g in total). Now, let's open a can and check these out!
On top of the can you'll find the catch lid - which is a handy place to discard of your used pouches if you aren't near a trash bin. The aroma that comes through is very tobacco-esque. It reminds me a lot of an old favorite: 77 Classic Tobacco. Compared to BAT's other tobacco flavor Grizzly Original, this one is more on the sweet side. In the aroma, it's a present, sweet and nutty aroma. I pick up hints of caramel, as well. The pouch is slim, moderately moist, and soft to the touch. Under the lip it is pretty comfortable. The flavor is pretty good. It's a little sweeter than I prefer, but it isn't too bad. The tobacco-inspired taste comes through clearly with nutty tones, a light earthy nature, and tones of caramel. The nicotine strength delivers right at the regular level. I find the flavor to last about 30-40 minutes, on average.

Rating and Final Thoughts
These weren't too bad! In the end, I rated them 3.29/5. For those who order online, we don't have a lot of options for tobacco-flavored nicotine pouches. Most of them are red-listed by the FDA and banned from US import. So, this is a good option. I like the Grizzly Original NP's a little bit more, but these aren't too bad. I think folks who like a sweeter pouch will be pleased with these!
