I recently heard about these new VID (ViD?) nicotine pouches made by Kurbitssnus.
Kurbits makes some of my favorite snus products, so when I heard about these I was pretty excited to try them out. I'm not the biggest user of nicotine pouches myself, but I'm always up to try something new. Especially when it's a product made by a snus company that I enjoy. I had trouble finding these, but our friends at
Nic Pouch UK hooked us up with some, so a big thanks to them. The VID line has 5 flavors: Arctic Blast (Mint), Cool Citrus, Fresh Cola, Fruit Fusion, and Watermelon. So, there's something for everyone. Each can weighs 15.6 grams and has 20 portions, for 0.78g portions. The nicotine strength is 20mg/g (2.0%), or 15.6mg/portion.
One thing I like about Kurbitssnus is their product descriptions. They get a little wordy with them, which is pretty cool. It's not the usual "this product has a cola taste". So, I'm going to share the whole thing. The translation is a little spotty, but here you go: "One of the absolute favorite flavors when it comes to sweets, soft drinks or as wood for various alcoholic beverages must be a fresh cola taste. We wanted to take this classic to a new level by building a reasonably sweet, wonderfully fresh and enjoyable good cola aroma for those who really like goodies. This is not a product for those who are looking for the strength and impact that can otherwise be found in our products, but it is for those who want something that is genuinely good".
I love cola flavors. I remember when V2 launched
Thunder Cola back in 2011 I fell in love with it. I thought it was a niche flavor and didn't really imagine it would grow as much as it has. Now, there's quite a few cola flavored snus and nicotine pouch products. Heck, I've even made a few myself -
Snubie Cherry/Vanilla Cola Loose Snus and
Snubie Cherry Cola Nicotine Pouches. Needless to say, it's a flavor I enjoy a lot. It's also quite good in this one! When you open the can, a present, sweet, strong aroma of cola comes through with a subtle presence of cinnamon. The portions are slim, with a good moisture amount, and a comfortable mouthfeel. They also have a subtle cooling presence under the lip. In the flavor, I notice a present, refreshing taste of cola. It's natural, sweet, and tasty. I also notice a subtle hint of cinnamon to it. In terms of strength, it feels a little above regular strength, and the flavor lasts about 45 minutes, on average.
Rating and Final Thoughts
This one rated at 3.58/5 for me. That's a pretty high score, I don't usually rate nicotine pouches this close to 4. I've only ever rated one at a 4. That being said, it should tell you how much I enjoy this one. The cola taste is spot on, and it has a refreshing aspect to it that's really enjoyable. In terms of cola flavored products, this is probably one of the best ones I've had yet. If you like nicotine pouches and want to try something new, this is one you'll want to get your hands on!
