Nord 66 Cold Blast (Discontinued) - Review. 21 January 2014.

This product has been discontinued and is no longer for sale.

Nord 66 is a very popular brand from Skruf Snus. So far we've reviewed Strong White, Extra Strong, Nordic Breeze and Southern Storm.  Nord 66 is a very popular snus in Norway, where time and time and time again we've learned that Norwegian's like STRONG snus.  In fact, most strong snuses are tested/sold in Norway before they end up anywhere else, because the Norwegian market is like base camp for those who enjoy a good nicotine kick.  Now we have a new addition to the Nord 66 line, "Cold Blast".  As it was inevitable, this line now has a mint snus.   From the limited description I've been told, it's listed as having "a flavor of peppermint, spearmint and menthol." A very interesting blend of flavors, for sure. With that being said, let's dive into Nord 66 Cold Blast and see what Skruf has come up with.

When you open a can, the aroma that comes through is a sharp peppermint aroma with an underlying hint of eucalyptus/menthol. It smells really nice. The flavor isn't bad, either. The taste starts with a sharp peppermint bite and mingles gently with a smooth, underlying spearmint flavor. It has a nice little tingling sensation that goes with the presence of menthol/eucalyptus in the mix. The closest snus I can think of in terms of flavor is Jakobsson's Mint in that it's sweet, but not too sweet. The menthol and eucalyptus is very present, and blends very nicely with the mint. If you're into mint, or strong snuses, this is definitely one to check out. I'm not the biggest fan of mint snus, but I definitely will be finishing this can!
