It's been many years since I've had Cuba Nicotine Pouches. Lately I've been getting a lot more requests for them, so I recently grabbed a wide array of them to check out. In this video, I'll be trying their regular flavors (I'm doing a separate video of their mint flavors). I didn't plan on reviewing Cuba because they make some crazy strong stuff. But these are actually in the range of products I will review, so I figured why not. Each can weighs 13 grams and has 20 pouches, for 0.65g each. The nicotine content is 16mg/g, which breaks down to just 10.4mg/pouch. So while Nicotobacco does make some crazy strong stuff, they also do make some that is approachable to normies like me.
Before we get into the review, let's discuss their commonalities. I have 10 products to review in this review, so I don't want to be too redundant.
Cuba Specifics:
The Pouch / Mouthfeel - The pouches are slim, pretty soft to the touch, and have a moderate moisture amount. They're quite soft under the lip as well.
The Nicotine Strength / Release - The nicotine releases pretty quickly, and feels to be just a little above the regular strength level.
The Flavor Longevity - The flavors last between 30-40 minutes, on average.
Now that all that is out of the way, let's do a review and see how they taste!
Flavor Description: "A juicy, sweet flavor of watermelon".
Review: Opening the can, a nice, sweet, fresh aroma of watermelon greets you. There's also some menthol in the aroma, which carries through to the flavor. In the taste, the melon is good, and not too overpowering or bold. It's balanced out well with a subtle sweetness.
Cuba White: Pineapple
Flavor Description: "A sweet and tangy pineapple flavor".
Review: I like tropical tastes, so I was curious to check this one out. The aroma delivers as promised, but the pineapple character is pretty mild in the smell. I do pickup more pineapple in the taste, however. Like the previous two, there is some menthol in the aroma and flavor. The pineapple taste is good though. It's nice and tropical, and not overly sweet.
Cuba White: Peach
Flavor Description: "A ripe peach flavor".
Review: This one has a really good peach smell to it, it's a lot like those Gummy Peach Rings. There's also some menthol in the aroma. In the flavor profile, the peach is ripe, juicy, and lightly sweet. And, you guessed it, some menthol. But, the peach tastes nice!
Cuba White: Grape
Flavor Description: "A taste of grape".
Review: Opening the can, the menthol hits me first, followed by a nice, sweet aroma of grape. In the flavor profile, the grape taste is mild, and balanced out with subtle tones of menthol. It's not overly sweet, and relatively mild in flavor.
Cuba White: Forest Berries
Flavor Description: "A mix of sweet and tart berry flavors".
Review: A lot of brands use the name "Forest Berries", so it's always fun to dig into them and see what they used to flavor them. In the aroma, perhaps a grape smell, with some blackberry, and a little menthol. At least that's what I'm picking up. In the taste, much like the aroma, I think it's a grape/blackberry hybrid, with some tones of menthol. The berry taste is relatively mild, and not overly sweet.
Cuba White: Cola
Flavor Description: "A smooth, crisp cola taste".
Review: This one has a beautiful, sweet cola smell. Like the others, it also has tones of menthol to it. In the flavor, the cola taste is gentle, and semi-sweet. The menthol tones are there, and in the background. But all in, it's a pretty well rounded, nice flavor.
Cuba White: Blueberry
Flavor Description: "A bursting sweet flavor of blueberries".
Review: In the aroma of this one, the menthol is quite bold, and has a gentle hint of blueberry to it. It's semi-sweet in nature, and relatively mild. In the flavor, the blueberry taste is mild, and has a subtle sweetness, along with hints of menthol.
Cuba White: Black Currant
Flavor Description: "A rich and bold blast of black currant".
Review: I'm a big fan of the black currant flavor profile, so I was eager to dive into this one. When I open the can, the aroma of menthol jumps out first. Behind it, gentle tones of black currant. If you've never experienced that taste, it's kind of like a grape. In the flavor profile, the black currant taste is front and center, with subtle tones of menthol behind it. It's not overly sweet, which is nice.
Cuba White: Banana Hit
Flavor Description: "The luscious sweetness of ripe bananas".
Review: Opening the can, the banana aroma comes through clearly, along with clear hints of menthol. In the flavor profile, the banana flavor is present. It has some tones of menthol to it, but they don't drown out the banana, so that's nice.
Cuba White: Apple Juice
Flavor Description: "A taste of freshly pressed apples".
Review: I've had some apple flavored products before, but never one called "Apple Juice". Opening the can, the apple aroma comes through pretty clearly. It seems to be a little red apple, and a little green apple. It almost smells slightly nutty, and is accompanied by tones of menthol. In the flavor profile, the apple taste is pretty present. It's a mix of green and red apple to me. There is something menthol, but it's not overdone. The apple flavor is sweet, but lightly tart. It's pretty well balanced.
Rating and Final Thoughts
There's a wide array of ratings below, ranging from 2.83/5 to 3.17/5. That would put these all in the upper/average score area for me. Banana Hit was my favorite, but I've been really enjoying Banana flavors lately. Of this list, if I had to make recommendations, I'd say Banana, Cola, Watermelon, Peach, and Blackcurrant were my favorites. Those all had some pretty intriguing flavors to them!
