2025 has kicked off with a lot of new snus products, and today we have one to check out! This is Swedish Match's Catch Passion White Mini. Granted, I don't use mini portions myself. But, I was rather excited when I read the flavor description for this one, so I just had to try it. The flavor description for this one says "
Has a light tobacco character with clear hints of passion fruit, mandarin and notes of lemongrass and grapefruit". Honestly, it sounds a lot like a nicotine pouch I enjoy,
Velo Tropic Breeze. I've been hoping that flavor would come to snus at some point, it's just a bummer it's a mini. Each weighs 8.4 grams and has 20 portions, weighing 0.42g each. I remember when mini portions were 0.5g each, but seems like they're making them even more...mini. The nicotine content is 8.5mg/g, which is just 3.57mg/portion. That's quite light! So, let's check this snus out!
Thee portions are so small, I had to put 3 in my lip. Obviously, if you use mini portions, you'll go one at a time. But for me, I want more flavor and strength. The aroma of this stuff is sublime. I pick up grapefruit up front, followed by an aroma of lemon, some mango, and a little passionfruit. It smells tremendous. The portions are soft, and semi-moist. They feel good against the gum, and have a nice release of flavor and nicotine. In the taste, this has to be one of the best tasting snuses I've had in a while! The citrusy taste of grapefruit and lemon comes through first. Then, I pick up some tropical notes of mango and passionfruit. It's also slightly grassy. I also like that it's tart, and not overly sweet. It's very well done. With three pouches in, it feels about regular strength, so I imagine one is going to feel very low. The flavor lasts a solid hour, which makes me happy.
Rating and Final Thoughts
This snus is quite good. Honestly, one of the best flavors I've had in a while. It's a bummer that the portions are so small, and the strength is so low, however. If this was a normal size one with normal strength, this would be added to the Official Snubie Snus Rotation. I rated it at 3.83/5. Now, if you like mini portions, I think you'll be really happy with this one. While it's not something I'd use full time due to size and strength, I definitely suggest it if you like mini portions!
