Velo Tropical Mango 6mg (Nicotine Pouches) - Review. 7 March 2022.

March 2025 Update:
The last time I reviewed this product, it was called Velo Tropic Breeze.  Since then, the design has changed, and it is now called Velo Tropical Mango 6mg.  As Velo is now hard to get online to the US, I wanted to make a note to reflect the new name and design.  Everything else below is still accurate - aroma, flavor, rating, etc.  Just a new name and design.

Original Review (March 2022):  BAT has been gradually branding their Lyft nicotine pouches line to Velo, seemingly to have more international uniformity.  It seems as though it is in the final stages, so I felt it was time to review the re-named Velo products so as to update my reviews here.  Today we're talking about Velo Tropic Breeze!  I first had this one in March of 2019 when it launched as Epok (White Tobacco) Tropic Breeze in Norway.  A Lyft version would follow in May of 2019.  Right after that, Denmark would get Epok Tropic Gold (Chew Bags) in August of 2019.  Then, Switzerland would get Epok Tropic Gold in May of 2020.  Most recently, in July of 2021, I tried a version out of the UK which was actually branded as Velo:  Velo Tropic Breeze (this one is basically the same thing).  The flavor description for this one says it has "flavors of mandarin, passion fruit and mango."  Each can weighs 14.7 grams and has 21 portions, for 0.7 gram portions.  The nicotine content is 6mg/portion, or 8.57mg/g (0.857%).

If you're looking for something tropical, this is it.  When you open the can the aroma that jumps out of the can is definitely that.  It's a tropical, lightly sweet aroma with some light citrus and a little mango to it.  The pouches are the slim format, moderately moist, and pretty soft to the touch.  In the flavor profile, the tropical presence really shines.  It's a lightly sweet flavor profile.  I do pick up some mild citrus, perhaps some mandarine.  I also notice some mango in the flavor profile, as well.  In terms of strength, it feels to be about the regular strength level.  The flavor profile, on average, lasts about 40-45 minutes.  Basically, if you've had Lyft Tropic Breeze before, this one is the same thing.  You won't notice a difference.

Rating and Final Thoughts

I gave this one a 3.58/5.  I'm not really a big nicotine pouch user, so that may sound a little low.  However, if I were a nicotine pouch user, this one would probably be in my standard rotation.  It's a product solid product.  I will occasionally grab a can here and there in the summertime, because there isn't a snus product that really has a tropical flavor like this one.  So, if you're someone who uses this type of product, I'd definitely suggest checking this one out.

Velo is available at SnusMe.com!
