Simply Snuff Silver Screen Collection (Nasal Snuff) - Reviews. 12 November 2024.

Today, I have a new line of nasal snuff in the Simply Snuff range.  I've reviewed some previous Simply Snuff nasal snuff products in the past, and found them to be pretty interesting.  If you're not familiar, Simply Snuff is a popular YouTuber who reviews nasal snuff.  Through his growing popularity, he has been able to make nasal snuff collaborations and have his own line.  These are produced by 6 Photo Snuff in India, who also make Simon's other products, and sold exclusively on MrSnuff.com.  This line is called the Silver Screen Collection, and has some names that some of you may not be familiar with if you're younger.  Like Simon's previous line, these products draw inspiration from the Marx Brothers.  The Marx Brothers were an American comedy act.  There were 5 brothers:   Chico, Harpo, Groucho, Gummo, and Zeppo.  This line also carries their name, though Gummo is seemingly absent.  Apparently he left the comedy troupe early on, from what I've read.

To not get too redundant, I want to cover a few aspects of each product that are similar, before I cover their differences.

Grind/Moisture - I find these to have a decent moisture amount, a nice feel, and an easy grind to work with.  I'm usually partial to more dry snuffs, but I still found these to be enjoyable.
Drip / Throat / Nose - I did not notice any major throat hit or heavy drip with these, in my personal experience.
Nicotine - The nicotine delivery, or "Vitamin N" as Simon calls it, was satisfactory.
Longevity/After-Aroma - I notice a good amount of longevity and after-aroma lingering about with each of these.

Simply Snuff Zeppo

Product Description:  "a rich blend of roasted nuts, nutmeg, and warm spices, finished with a bitter sweet back note"

Review:  Opening up the tin, I notice an aroma that is nutty, and slightly spicy, along with a subtle nutmeg presence.  In the nose, it has a darker essence to it.  It's slightly spicy in nature, and semi-sweet.  I pick up clear nutmeg, along with nutty tones, and perhaps a light note of cinnamon.

Simply Snuff Harpo

Product Description:  "sharp zesty lemon citrus notes, fresh tea tree scent, and minty/spicy back note"

Review:  When I open up the tin, the aroma of lemon comes through gently.  It's lightly tart, and minty, along with subtle herbal hints of eucalyptus.  In the nose, this one does seem to be of an herbal nature.  I pick up tart lemon, along with subtle tones of eucalyptus, and a mild tobacco base.

Simply Snuff Groucho

Product Description:  "a flavorful blend of figgy, dried fruits, nutty, and charred cinnamon notes"

Review:  Opening up the tin, this one is lightly sweet.  I pick up a mild essence of dried fruit, along with light notes of fig.  In the nose, this one is mild, and quite well rounded.  I pick up a light, dried fruit essence which reminds me of cherry, and perhaps grape.  There's a subtle note of cinnamon to it, along with hints of fig.

Simply Snuff Chico

Product Description:  "a strong menthol flavor and hints of eucalyptus and camphor"

Review:  This one is a predominant menthol/eucalyptus one.  While this isn't what I use the most in snuff products, it is a character that is quite popular.  Opening up the tin, I pick up lightly sweet tones of menthol and eucalyptus.  In the nose, it's a pretty well rounded mix of camphor, icy menthol, and herbal eucalyptus.  It wasn't as one dimensional as I expected, and I found the balance to be pretty solid in this one.

Rating and Final Thoughts

To sort these out, I found Groucho to come out on top, at 3.33/5, followed by Harpo at 3.25/5, and Zeppo and Chico tying up in the end at 3.17/5.  Like Simon's other products, these were pretty enjoyable.  Also, as a fellow content creator, I know how it feels to get products out there on the market with your name on them, so I know the pride he must feel in having this line out there.  I had it as well in the years I made Artisan Snus.  If you haven't had Simon's products before, he has a wide range of them out there.  And many of them are pretty unique.  So, if you want to try something new, check his range out!
