up for sale again and was pretty excited, it's a nice taste! If you're not familiar, the "Aviation" is a popular cocktail that originated in the 1920's. It's a bit of a twist on a gin sour. This one mixes cherry and violet with maraschino liqueur and crème de violette. The flavor description for this one says "
With Swave Aviation, we have managed to recreate a drink classic from the 20s. A classic violet taste combined with a lively tone of sun-ripened cherries". Each can weighs in at 16 grams and has 20 portions, weighing 0.8g each. The nicotine content is 10.6mg/portion, which would be 13.25mg/g in total. But, as we know the nicotine per portion is what matters the most as that is what you actually experience when using this one.
So, to preface this review, if you had it last summer, this one is the exact same thing. Just, with a new label. But if you missed out on this one last time, I'll do a review of it and we'll talk about it! Opening up the can, I notice a smooth aroma of cherry, along with a floral presence of violet. The pouches are slim, soft, and moderately moist with a comfortable mouthfeel. In the flavor profile, it's a smooth taste of cherry up front, accompanied by a subtle, floral taste of violet. There's a subdued sweetness to this one, but it's not too over the top. The nicotine strength feels about regular, and has a pretty steady delivery of nicotine. The flavor hangs out a good 45-50 minutes, on average.
Rating and Final Thoughts
This is a pretty tasty product. There really isn't anything out there that tastes like it, and Swedish Match / Gotlandssnus made a good decision bringing it back. I still haven't had an Aviation cocktail so I need to do that someday. My rating hasn't changed on this one, it still sits at a firm 3.5/5. This is a great tasting product, and I recommend it to anyone who enjoys nicotine pouches!
