I've seen these products on MrSnuff.com for quite a while and have been wanting to do reviews of them. They're listed as "filter tabaq" products, which remind me of something I had a few years back. There was a product out of India called "Cool Lip", which I reviewed back in 2019. Also, for some reason, that's one of my most viewed reviews on YouTube. That video has almost 122,000 views as of the date of this writing. It seems like "filter tabaq" is a word similar to "snus portion". As far as how these are made, I have no idea, so I can't speak to their safety. But I can review them, so today we're going to talk about 6 different varieties of these "filter tabaq" products.
FUBAR: Spice Bouquet (Filter Tabaq)
FUBAR: Natural/All-White (Filter Tabaq)
FUBAR: Natural (All White)
FUBAR: Mint (Filter Tabaq)
FUBAR: Mint (Filter Tabaq)
FUBAR: Bubble Gum (Filter Tabaq)
FUBAR: Bubble Gum (Filter Tabaq)
Gold Rush (Filter Tabaq)
Gold Rush (Filter Tabaq)
FUBAR: Spice Bouquet (Filter Tabaq)
Flavor Description: "An Indian inspired flavor, with glorious sweet flavors of cardamom, rose, lime, betel, and tobacco."
Pouch Contents: 10g, 20 pouches, 0.5g each
Nicotine Content: Unknown
The Review:
This one is incredibly aromatic. I pick up bright aromas of rose, cardamom, and lime. These pouches are about the size of mini portion snus - slim, with a soft portion material. In the lip, they come with a slight tingle sensation. In the flavor, it's very floral. Rose is a heavy hitter in the flavor profile, with hints of cardamom. I pick up a light tobacco character in the background, and a faint hint of lime. In terms of strength, it feels to be around the regular to strong range. The flavor lasts a pretty good amount of time; usually about 45-50 minutes on average.
FUBAR: Natural/All-White (Filter Tabaq)
Flavor Description: "No added flavors, rendering it flavorless."
Pouch Contents: 10g, 20 pouches, 0.5g each
Nicotine Content: Unknown
The Review:
This one is interesting. It's technically not a "filter tabaq" product, as this one is said to be "non-tobacco all white portions". So, this one is basically their nicotine pouch product. The flavor description says "no added flavors", but in the aroma I pick up a heavy presence of menthol. The pouches are slim, soft to the touch, and moderately-dry. They come with a light cooling presence in the lip, as well. I don't really notice any flavor, but I do pick up a presence of menthol. But no other flavor, really. The nicotine strength feels to be about the regular/strong range, and the menthol character kicks around for about 35-40 minutes.
FUBAR: Mint (Filter Tabaq)
Flavor Description: "A prominent mint taste that isn't too overwhelming. A flavor of peppermint with a hint of pepper."
Pouch Contents: 10g, 20 pouches, 0.5g each
Nicotine Content: Unknown
The Review:
This one has a pretty nice aroma to it. It's a mild, balanced aroma of peppermint. There's a light tobacco presence to the aroma, and a touch of pepper. The pouches are slim, pretty soft to the touch, and comfortable under the lip. Being a mint product, it also comes with a light cooling presence, as well. The flavor isn't super in your face, which is nice. The mint character is mild, and well balanced. I pick up a little tobacco taste in the background, as well. In terms of strength, it also feels to be around the regular to strong range. The flavor, on average, seems to last about 40-45 minutes.
FUBAR: Medicated (Filter Tabaq)
FUBAR: Medicated (Filter Tabaq)
Flavor Description: "A prominent taste of menthol, eucalyptus and camphor."
Pouch Contents: 10g, 20 pouches, 0.5g each
Nicotine Content: Unknown
The Review:
This one has a pretty present aroma to it. I pick up present tones of menthol and eucalyptus. The pouches are soft to the touch, pretty comfortable under the lip, and come with a slim fit. The flavor is a lot like the aroma. I pick up a mild, balanced flavor of menthol and eucalyptus. It also seems to have a subtle tobacco character to it. The nicotine strength on this one, like the others, seems to be about the regular to strong range. The flavor seems to last for about 40-45 minutes, on average.
FUBAR: Bubble Gum (Filter Tabaq)
Flavor Description: "A classic bubble gum flavor."
Pouch Contents: 10g, 20 pouches, 0.5g each
Nicotine Content: Unknown
The Review:
In the aroma of this one, I pick up a pretty present menthol character. The bubble gum aroma is pretty faint, and in the background. The pouches are slim, pretty soft to the touch, and comfortable under the lip. The flavor character of this one is pretty mild in presence. It seems to be a taste of menthol, with a light bubble gum hint, and a floral hint in the background. It's a pretty interesting flavor. The strength feels like the others, about regular to strong. The flavor lasts about 35-40 minutes, on average.
Gold Rush (Filter Tabaq)
Flavor Description: "Flavors of tobacco with a subtle, slightly peppery note and a hint of other Indian spices."
Pouch Contents: 10g, 20 pouches, 0.5g each
Nicotine Content: Unknown
The Review:
While the other ones are in the FUBAR family, this is one that has a different name: Six Photo. In the aroma of this one, I pick up a presence of menthol up front, along with a subtle tobacco character, a little pepper, and a certain spice presence. The pouches are slim, soft to the touch, and pretty comfortable under the lip. In the flavor profile for this one, I pick up a light tone of menthol along with a mild base tobacco tone. There's a light floral element to the flavor profile, along with light tones of pepper. It's a pretty interesting flavor. The nicotine strength, like the others, feels about the regular to strong range. The flavor, on average, lasts about 40-45 minutes.
Rating and Final Thoughts
You know me, I like trying out lots of new stuff. These were pretty interesting products, and I'm glad I got to try them out. In the end, they were kinda "meh". Not great, but not bad. None of them really rated over average for me. Spice and Mint came in at 2.33 out of 5, Medicated and Gold Rush came in at 2.17 out of 5, and Bubble Gum and Natural came in at 2 out of 5. They were fun to try out, but nothing I'll rush out to buy more of, by any means. If you're like me though, and like trying new stuff - you may really dig these!
