Offroad Classic Mini - Review. 22 March 2020.

NOTE:  There used to be a review of the full size Offroad Classic here, but it's been moved to it's own article - here.  This article is simply about the mini version.  Now, let's get into the review!  V2 Tobacco has been discontinuing/changing a lot of products lately, but also launching some new ones! Today we're reviewing one of their new ones:  Offroad Classic Mini Original Portion formats. When I spoke to V2 about this, they said it was more of a melding of two products that have been discontinued:  Offroad Original and Phantom Classic. I haven't ever really been a big user of Offroad Original, but I'm a pretty big Phantom phan (see what I did there?).  I recently was browsing SnusMe.com and saw these for sale there, and had to try them!  The flavor description for this snus says, "A taste of bergamot and citrus."  Each can weighs in at 10g, with 20 portion, for 0.5g portions.  The nicotine content is 8mg/g (0.8%), for 4mg/portion.

This is a really interesting snus.  If I had to describe it best, it seems to be like a beefier Phantom Original Portion.  The aroma is a rich, earthy tobacco character with a light tea/herbal type presence.  The portions are smaller in size, but slim in format!  They're comfortable in the lip, and moderately moist for a quick release of flavor.  The flavor is a present taste of tobacco; it is robust and earthy, and quite flavorful.  I do pick up a mild tea-like presence, but it's not overtly citrus.  The flavor is mostly front and center tobacco.  It's really good.  The nicotine level on this one feels to be about the regular strength level, and the flavor lasts about 45-50 minutes on average! I really dig this one.  As someone who liked Phantom an awful lot, I was pretty impressed with it.  If you're looking for a mini snus with a nice tobacco taste, check this one out!
