Granit Sensations: Mint (Slim White) - Review (Discontinued). 2 May 2016.

NOTE:  This product has been rebranded as Granit Ice Blue White Slim.  New review - here.

Earlier this year, I was in the process of doing video reviews of Granit Mint and Granit Lakrits and I found out that they had both been discontinued. Shortly after I found out those two had been discontinued, I heard about two new products coming from Granit with the mint and lakrits flavors.  I didn't care too much for the original Granit Mint and Granit Lakrits products, so I wasn't too hopeful about these two.  However, I was pleasantly surprised and found both of the replacements to be quite good! The product description for Granit Sensations: Mint (Slim White Portion) says, " Granit Mint has a cooling peppermint topped with green notes and eucalyptus. This snus has a slim sized pouch where all moisture is kept inside the pouch for a longer snus experience, and less drip. "

If you've never heard of Flex Lock, or FlexLid as it is sometimes called, it is a new type of catch lid that Fiedler and Lundgren began with Lundgren's.  It's a really cool concept that I hope everyone begins to do.  It's basically a rubber/elastic material in the catch lid instead of plastic that grows with the more portions you add.  If you're someone like me who constantly uses your catch lid and has to empty it often, this allows you to continuously fill it up and the catch lid expands to allow for more space for used portions.  It's a really neat idea and one I'm excited to see more companies embrace.

These are the first slim white portions from Granit, so I was quite excited to try them. When you open the can, a mellow pairing of peppermint, menthol and eucalyptus jumps out at you.  There's a mild tingling sensation when you put the pouch in your lip, as well.  The portion material feels good against the lip, and the portions are quite plump, as well.  The flavor is much better than the old Granit Mint.  It starts off with a gentle menthol taste.  Slowly you'll notice peppermint start to mingle in, a mellow taste of eucalyptus and a light herbal taste.  It's a really interesting and tasty snus!  If you're a mint fan who likes slim white portions, this one is definitely worth a try!
