Offroad Original (Lös) - Review (Discontinued). 18 September 2011.

NOTE:  This product has been discontinued and is no longer for sale.

It's been quite a while since I've had this, but I've had a few requests for it.  Offroad Original is actually one of the products carried by Northerner.com's US Warehouse.  Offroad is a budget brand, and costs less than $3.00 per can.  If you're looking for an alternative to save a little money, Offroad is a good line to check out.  The flavor description for this snus says, "Offroad Original Loose has a traditional tobacco flavor with hints of lemon and bergamot." This snus comes in an 37 gram can. The nicotine strength is 8mg/g (0.8%).

Just for comparison purposes, this is what the Offroad can looks like when sold from international stores.  The US can doesn't have the "Offroad" tag on top.  It says "Snus:  Use Anywhere And Anytime", and then has a warning label underneath.  But if you order from an international store that sells this product, this is what the can looks like.

When you open the can, the aroma that greets you is a present smell of citrus which comes through as more orange than bergamot.  I haven't had Offroad Los in a while, but I was surprised with how easy the tobacco was to work with.  It's quite moist, and stays together well in the lip.  The flavor is much like Offroad Original Portion; this snus has a present orange flavor, a touch of pepper, and a mild tobacco character in the background.  The nicotine strength, with a 1 gram prilla, feels to be about the regular level.  The flavor, on average, lasts about 45 minutes.  The tobacco stayed pretty well baked in the lip, and easily came out in one piece!

Offroad is a good budget option if you're looking to save some money.  I know not everyone likes it, but I enjoyed this can.  It's been a while since I've had it so it was fun to revisit this one!
