Zyn Citrus Slim Extra Strong (Nicotine Pouches) - Review. 2 March 2025.

I've been a fan of Zyn Citrus Slim Strong since I first tried it back in 2018.  After Loop Jalapeno Lime launched, I started using that one more.  However, with the FDA troubles in the US now, Loop is now "red listed", so I haven't been able to order it.  I figured I'd try to find a new citrus pouch (mainly because I like these for non-alcoholic beer pairing).  I saw this one and said hey, let's give it a go.  Recently, Swedish Match discontinued their Volt line, so I imagine when Volt Citrus Extra Strong went away, they made a Zyn version instead.  The flavor description for this one says it has a "great taste of freshly squeezed lemon, a light acidity from lime and some zest from lemon peel".  Each can weighs 14.7 grams and has 21 pouches, for 0.7 grams each.  The nicotine content sits at 15.5mg/g, which breaks down to 10.85mg/pouch.  This is a little over a gram stronger than Zyn Citrus Slim Strong (3/4).  

Opening the can, the aroma is a pleasant smell of lemon.  It's slightly tart, with a little tang to it.  I notice some sweetness to it, but it's not overdone or anything.  The pouches are slim, moderately moist, and pretty soft!  They have a nice mouthfeel against the gum, and a pretty quick release of flavor.  In the flavor profile, it's pretty much lemon focused.  It's a little tart, but not too tart.  I notice some sweetness, but it's not too much sweetness that it takes away from the lemon.  It's a pretty well rounded flavor.  The nicotine strength feels to be firmly at the strong level, with a nice kick to it.  Being just 10.85mg/pouch, it's definitely not an extra strong.  The flavor hangs out a solid 40-45 minutes, on average!

Rating and Final Thoughts

I rated this one at 3.67/5.  It's just like the regular one, but with more nicotine.  Since I can't get Loop in the US anymore, I'll probably be buying more of this one.  SnusMe.com stocks it and they ship here, so I'll grab some more soon.  And if you're someone who is a beer enthusiast, I found this one to be pair pretty well.  It's not too sweet that it messed with the flavor of a good beer (non-alcoholic, if you like those like I do).  So, check it out!
