CBD News: Swedish Match Goes CBD With G.4 Green Flow - 22 October 2020.

In a rather surprising move, today Swedish Match in Switzerland announced they are expanding into the CBD category and launching a new product: G.4 Green Flow (Slim All White).  It looks like this product is a hybrid, with 8mg of CBD and 8mg of nicotine.  The flavor is said to be "a combination of lemon and cucumber paired with a cooling effect".  The pricing is, according to a survey they have, 14.90 CHF or 16.42 USD per can.  It looks like as of right now, this product is only available in Switzerland, and launched as a limited edition in selected Valora stores.    This move is not surprising, as the CBD Pouch category has been growing over the past several years.  Market leader Cannadips CBD Pouches launched in 2016 and established the CBD pouch category.  Within the past year, we've observed this industry expanding.  We've seen Ice CBD Pouches from Iceland, Live Free Hemp Snuff from the USA, Kurwa CBD Pouches from Hungary, V&You &Chill CBD Pouches from the UK, and many more.  There have been rumblings of Swedish Match wanting to break into this category and it seems they have decided to go ahead and make that move.

CBD is the abbreviation for cannabidiol, a natural substance which is obtained from the hemp plant. The interest in CBD products is growing and more and more CBD products are coming onto the market. CBD is most commonly found in oils, foods, beverages, and tobacco products.

G.4 Green Flow does not contain THC. Both CBD and THC are obtained from the hemp plant, but unlike THC, CBD has no psychoactive effects. Swedish Match does not have a policy of using THC in any of its products.
