WOW! Blue Forest. Outside of that, there aren't any others on the market. Now, Swedish Match has released a limited edition GR product that has the flavor of blueberry, and it certainly delivers! The
product description says, "
Göteborgs Rapé Limited Edition 2018 has its foundation in Rapé's classical character, but with a touch of Swedish berries and with a higher nicotine strength. Only sold in limited edition during the summer of 2018. The snus has a light and spicy tobacco character with elements of blueberry and lavender, as well as some vanilla and citrus." This product comes in a 21.6 gram can with 24 portions for 0.9 grams each. The nicotine content is 12mg/g (1.2%) or 10.8mg/portion.
Also, a shout out to my friend Michael in Sweden who was able to grab this for me to review. As of the writing of this review, it isn't available to the US.
When you open the can, the aroma that greets you is a light blueberry smell. It's not overly sweet and smells quite natural. There's also a light herbal presence in the background, along with a touch of lavender. The portions are the white portion format, and come in the Swedish Match star formation, so fluffing is necessary to make them more comfortable before putting one in your lip. The taste is very interesting; it's unlike anything I've had before. If I had to describe it, I'd say it's a lot like
Göteborgs Rapé White Portion minus the juniper and with added blueberry. The blueberry taste is very much front and center, and is accompanied by a light herbal taste, a hint of lavender and a mild tobacco character. I don't really notice any citrus, nor do I notice any vanilla. The nicotine strength feels to be a little stronger than a regular strength, but not too strong. Being a white portion, the flavor on average lasts about an hour.
I dig this snus. It's a really unique flavor and definitely a nice summer snus!
