I recently stumbled across another new line of nicotine pouches to check out. These are called BSX Pouches. From what I've gathered, this is a vape brand out of California that has expanded into pouches. One interesting note, I talked to them and they said they're made in the US. I didn't see a weight on the can, so I weighed the contents out at 11g. I counted 20 pouches per can, which would be 0.55g each. The pouches are slim, slightly dry, and relatively soft under the lip. They make 6 and 12mg (per pouch) products, but I'm reviewing the 12mg today because the 6 is a bit too weak for me. The 12mg is nice though, it feels to be a little above the regular strength level. All of these seem to yield about the same flavor longevity, 30-40 minutes or so.
BSX Strawmelon Bubble Gum Ice
Now, let's review these and see how they taste!
BSX Strawmelon Bubble Gum Ice
Flavor Description: "A blend of classic bubble gum sweetness with the fruity fusion of strawberry and watermelon".
My Review: Opening the can, I smell a mild, smooth strawberry presence. It almost reminds me of a fruity cereal. In the flavor, it's a sweet, fruity taste. I do get the bubble gum presence, along with some subtle fruit and melon tones. It's an interesting combination.
BSX Pineapple Mango Chew
BSX The Mint
BSX Grape Strawberry Slush
BSX Citrus Ice
BSX Butterscotch Grand Reserve
BSX Blue Razz Lemonade
Flavor Description: "The lush sweetness of mango meets tangy tropical pineapple".
My Review: I was most eager to dive into this one. The aroma is tropical, and lovely. I pick up some mango, along with a light pineapple touch. In the flavor, it is on the sweeter end, and has a nice tropical vibe. The pineapple and mango seem to be pretty evenly matched, and quite flavorful.
Flavor Description: "A crisp, invigorating mint flavor".
My Review: Of course there had to be a mint one. Everyone makes one, or more, mint flavors. So, why not? Aroma-wise, it's a pretty fresh aroma of peppermint. In the taste, the peppermint flavor is icy, and fresh. It's more on the sweeter end, as well. But a pretty refreshing experience.
Flavor Description: "A combination of ripe strawberry and bold grape notes".
My Review: This one smell really nice. It almost reminds me of a grape Ring Pop. In the flavor, it's mostly grape, and comes across in a pretty sweet way. There is a little strawberry poking out of the back, but it's mostly grape in the flavor profile.
Flavor Description: "A blend of zesty citrus fruits enhanced by a cool menthol kick".
My Review: Citrus plus ice is a really common flavor in the US it seems. We're seeing a lot more companies popping this one onto the US market. In the aroma, it seems to be mostly orange, but perhaps with a little lemon. It doesn't smell "minty", but I do get a cooling presence in the lip and in the flavor. In the taste, it's citrus, and not overly sweet. It's mostly orange, with a little lemon poking out.
Flavor Description: "A blend of rich butterscotch and caramel notes".
My Review: This one has a really lovely scent to it. I definitely pick up butterscotch and caramel, but they aren't too sweet, so that helps. In the flavor, it's a pretty nice pairing of caramel and butterscotch. It's slightly sweet, but not overdone. It's almost creamy, and relatively smooth.
Flavor Description: "A tantalizing fusion of tangy blue raspberries and zesty lemonade".
My Review: I was curious to check this one out, because that flavor combination sounds quite nice. In the aroma, the blue raspberry is clear, and I pick up subtle, mild hints of lemon. It's tangy, and not too sweet, thankfully. The flavor is pretty tasty, and very well blended. The blue raspberry is present, and tangy. The subtle hints of lemon come in, and provide a tart essence in the background of the flavor. The taste isn't overly sweet, which I'm thankful for.
Rating and Final Thoughts
All in all, this was a pretty solid product line. The ratings came in between 3 and 3.33 out of 5, which is a pretty solid score, a little above average. Of the line, I'd say Pineapple, Blue Razz, and Grape were my favorites. They all had some pretty interesting flavors, and were pretty enjoyable. I'm glad the slim pouch format is catching on in the US, too. So, if you wanna try something new and you're in the US, I think you'd probably enjoy these.
