NAKD Nicotine Pods (Mint) - Review. 18 November 2025.

I saw these "pouch-less" nicotine pods recently and was quite curious to give them a try.  Today, we have NAKD.  This brand is made by Den Norske Snusfabrikken AS, based in Norway.  Because these are sold outside of Norway, they don't have the plain-pack design you see with products sold in Norway.  Here's some information on them I found on their website:  "A natural vegan binder Agar is added to the formulation which makes the pouch bag redundant.  The pods are 100% compostable and will dissolve within a couple of days.  The pods do not melt in your mouth".  Let's open up a can and see what they look like!

These are the nicotine pods.  They have an interesting look to them.  Each can weighs 15 grams.  There are 20 pods per can, weighing 0.75g each.  They're smaller in size.  They have a soft, flexible feel to them.  The pod is slightly moist, and feels almost like cooked pasta.  The nicotine content on these is 14mg/g, which is 10.5mg/pod.  But yeah, these are pretty interesting looking.  Let's pop one in and check out the experience!

Today we have their Mint one to check out.  On their website, it's described as having "a mint flavor", so pretty easy stuff.  In the aroma, I pick up a present, icy aroma of peppermint with some subtle tones of menthol.  It's lightly sweet, but not overly sweet.  Putting a nicotine pod under my lip, I find them to be pretty soft.  They have an interesting feel against the gum.  They don't really seem to fall apart, and I find I can take them out in one piece when I'm done.  Flavor-wise, it's pretty fresh, and minty.  It's mostly peppermint, but with some menthol tones to it.  It's a little sweet, but not mega sweet.  In the strength, it has a pretty decent delivery.  It hits pretty quickly.  The flavor lasts about 30-40 minutes, on average.  Then, the pouch comes out quite easily in one piece!

Rating and Final Thoughts

This is the second attempt at a "pouch-free" non-tobacco product I've had.  I remember ZIXS made a tobacco free loose ages ago that was pretty impressive.  These remind me, in a way, of a well packed prilla of snus.  They have an interesting mouthfeel.  I find a good release of flavor and nicotine, so the format works well.  I gave these a 3/5.  I think if they were a little less strong and had a different flavor (like citrus), they might get closer to a 4/5 for me.
