Zyn Cool Breeze & Dark Purple (Nicotine Pouches) - Review. 10 October 2025.

Today, we have a couple more foreign Zyn products to check out, or "exotic Zyns" as the Zynthusiasts on TikTok call them.  I found these on TheSnusLife.com.  These are Zyn products that are made for the Philippines market.  We have two flavors to check out:  Dark Purple and Cool Breeze.  Content-wise, these are both the same:  6 grams each, with 15 pouches per can.  Each pouch, like US Zyn Mini Dry, is 0.4 grams each.  The pouches are small, stiff, and dry.  They aren't super comfortable under the lip.  The nicotine content is 15mg/g, which puts these to 6mg/pouch, or "low" / "light" strength.  I don't feel much nicotine from these at all, so I usually have to use two.  The flavor is very mild, and doesn't last very long, usually only about 30 minutes at a time.  I don't do a lot of the mini dry pouches, but I still wanted to try these.  I found them neat.  So, let's go ahead and open these up and give them a try!

Zyn Dark Purple

Flavor Description:  "A bold fusion of blackcurrant and forest berries".

My Review:  Opening the can, the aroma is very, very faint.  Honestly, I have to stick my nose all the way in and almost inhale a pouch to pick up the aroma.  It's a very faint, very light aroma of grape.  In the flavor profile, it's very faint.  I usually have to wait until the pouches get moist, and then about 10-15 minutes in I can pick up a little flavor.  But, like the aroma, it seems to remind me of a blackcurrant/grape blend.

Zyn Cool Breeze

Flavor Description:  "A refreshing blend of menthol and mint".

My Review:  With this one, I really don't pick up much aroma or taste at all.  If I stick my nose all the way in the can, I can pick up a very faint aroma of mint, and perhaps a very, very light touch of menthol.  The flavor, much like the last one, isn't very present.  After a while, and the pouch getting more moist, I can taste a very faint minty flavor, and perhaps a little menthol.  But it's incredibly light and almost non-present.

Rating and Final Thoughts

These weren't really for me.  I know a lot of people out there like the Zyn Mini Dry format, and if you're one of them, you'll probably like these a lot.  I rated Dark Purple at 2.25/5, and Cool Breeze at 2.08/5.  Dark Purple had a little more flavor than Cool Breeze, but even that one didn't have much taste.  So, Zyn Mini Dry folks - try these, you may like them.  But if you like more flavor, you may want to skip them.
