Today, we're checking out Nordic Snus AB's Vårgårda Skog Stark! I've been wanting to try this one for a while but it's been hard to find. I found a can on
SwedishProducts.online, so I can finally review it. I'm a big fan of the
regular strength Skog, so I knew this one would also be nice. I've also been reviewing so, so many nicotine pouches lately that it is beyond exciting to be able to review real snus again! The flavor description for this one says "
A tobacco flavor with hints of lavender and juniper". Each can weighs 19.8g and has 22 portions, at 0.9g each. The nicotine content is 14mg/g, which breaks down to 12.6mg/pouch. Let's pop in a pouch and give this one a go!
In the aroma, I pick up an aroma of spruce, along with a slight touch of juniper. There's a little lavender in the background, too. The portions are nice and plump, and quite soft, with a great mouthfeel. The flavor on this one is delicious. It's like a mix of GR and Lundgren's Norrland. The spruce essence blends well with the flavor of juniper. The lavender provides a lightly sweet, floral essence. It's a nice, well rounded flavor. The nicotine strength is stronger than the regular Skog, but not too overbearing. It feels to be right at the strong level. The flavor lasts up to an hour, which is nice!
Rating and Final Thoughts
I really enjoyed this one. The regular Skog is a favorite of mine, so I knew I'd like this one. I rated it at 3.42/5. It's a great snus. Plus, it's nice to be reviewing regular snus again. I reviewed so many nicotine pouches today that I was really looking forward to this review. If you like good, earthy flavors, I really think you're going to enjoy this one!
