Today. we have a wintergreen flavored pouch! I recently bought this one at
SnusMe.com. Mainly, because there aren't a lot of wintergreen pouches out there. And the ones that are out there are more minty than wintergreen. This is Syx Wintergreen. Syx is made by Consumer Brands International in Denmark. They also make the
Dope brand, if you've had that before. The flavor description for this one says "
A cool, minty flavor". Each can weighs 14g and has 20 pouches, for 0.7g each. The nicotine strength is pretty low, at 4mg/g. But, it's actually lower than that. With 0.7g pouches, that means you'll only get 2.8mg per pouch. Now, let's throw one in and check it out!
I don't use a lot of wintergreen, but I've noticed there aren't a lot of pouches out there that really capture the wintergreen flavor. Will this one be any different? Let's find out, shall we? Opening the can, I pick up a very light smell. It's a very faint aroma of wintergreen and a very light aroma of peppermint. The pouches are slim, lightly moist, and pretty soft to the touch. I get a gentle cooling sensation under the lip. The flavor is very mild. It's a pretty even mix of peppermint and wintergreen. Both of those flavors are very mild in presence. In the nicotine strength, this one is quite light. I mean, it is super light. I don't feel any. The flavor lasts about 30-35 minutes, on average.
Rating and Final Thoughts
This one is mild, in every sense of that word. The nicotine strength is super mild. The aroma and flavor is super mild. This one rated at 2.67/5. To me, it's just a hair above average. It's not a straight up wintergreen flavor, it's more minty than anything. It's not terrible. It's not amazing. I'd say it's just average. The strength is super light. There are folks out there who like that 1-3mg range. I am not one of them. But if you are, you may dig this one!
