Vika Rave (Caffeine Pouches) - Review. 12 November 2024.

Today, something a little different.  This is a product in the Vika range, made in Sweden.  In the past, I've reviewed their snus products and their nicotine pouch products.  Today, I have something different:  Vika caffeine pouches!  I have six different flavors here today, and two different strengths.  These may look like nicotine pouches, as they are slim and all white, but one note is that these do not contain any nicotine.  These have, quite simply, caffeine instead.  These are products you can use to replace your nicotine pouch routine, or potentially to use alongside your nicotine pouch routine for a morning pick me up in the place of a cup of coffee or a can of soda!  Before we get into the reviews, let me break these down and talk about what they have in common, so as to keep myself from getting too redundant in these reviews.

Commonalities

Pouch - Each can weighs 12 grams, and has 20 pouches, weighing 0.6g each.  I find these all to be slim, soft, and semi-moist.  Much like your standard slim all white pouch.

Effect (50mg pouch) - These have a pretty solid kick, much like a half can of soda.

Effect (80mg pouch) - These are stronger, much like you'd get with a full can of soda, or a mini Red Bull.

Flavor - On average, the flavor for each lasts 30-40 minutes.

Vika Rave (50mg) Blueberry Ice

Flavor Description:  "A refreshing blueberry flavor"

Review:  This one has a minty aroma of blueberry.  It's semi-sweet in nature.  In the flavor profile, I pick up a clear taste of blueberry.  It's lightly sweet, semi-tart, and pretty fresh in nature!

Vika Rave (50mg) Cherry Berry

Flavor Description:  "A refreshing cherry and berry flavor"

Review:  In the aroma, I pick up a sweet, present aroma of cherry.  In the flavor profile, the cherry taste is up front, and clear.  It has a subtle sweetness to it, but it's not overly sweet.

Vika Rave (50mg) Juicy Lemon

Flavor Description:  "A tangy lemon note"

Review:  This one has a sharp, tart, tangy aroma of lemon.  In the flavor profile, the lemon comes through clearly.  It is tart, and tangy.  It's not overly sweet either, which is nice.

Vika Rave (80mg) Strawberry Ice

Flavor Description:  "A refreshing strawberry ice flavor"

Review:  This one has a nice strawberry aroma to it.  It's slightly minty, but not overtly so.  In the flavor profile, the strawberry taste is clear, lightly sweet, and fresh.  I do pick up some subtle tones of mint, but it's not overly minty.

Vika Rave (80mg) Double Mint

Flavor Description:  "A burst of refreshment"

Review:  This one has a pretty refreshing aroma to it.  It's a nice balance of fresh spearmint and tones of peppermint.  It's fresh, like a good chewing gum.  In the flavor, much like a good chewing gum, it's a fresh mix of peppermint and spearmint.  It's lightly sweet, but not mega sweet or anything.

Vika Rave (80mg) Bold Cinnamon

Flavor Description:  "A bold, spicy cinnamon flavor"

Review:  This one is pretty simple, which makes it an easy review for me.  In the aroma and taste, it's cinnamon.  I like the taste of cinnamon, and it's a shame we don't see it in more products.  The cinnamon presence in this one, both in the aroma and in the taste, is slightly sweet, but also slightly spicy.  It has a pretty neat balance to it though, and I do find the flavor experience to this one to be pretty enjoyable.  If you like the taste of cinnamon, you may find yourself quite pleased with this one.

Rating and Final Thoughts

All in all, these aren't too bad!  To rank my preferences, I found Juicy Lemon best, at 3.42/5.  Next, Strawberry Ice and Bold Cinnamon at 3.25/5.  Double Mint comes in at 3.17/5.  Next, Cherry Berry at 3.08/5.  And lastly, Blueberry Ice at 3/5.  If you're looking for a nicotine pouch alternative, or just enjoy caffeine in general, I think you'll like these!  I grabbed them at Snus24.com, so you can check there for these.
