Übbs Nicotine Pouches - Review. 28 January 2024.

I think Übbs has been around for a bit now, because I've seen them here and there on social media.  I've been kind of curious to try them out, especially since they're establishing a US presence.  Though they're made in India, they have distribution in the US now and since most of my audience is US based I figured it was time to check them out!  Today I have three of their flavors to check out:  Menthol, Cola Ice, and Watermelon.  This line has three strengths available, 6mg, 11mg and 14mg.  I got ahold of some of their 6mg strength, so that's what we're checking out today.  The cans weigh in at 14.5g and have 20 pouches, for 0.73g each.  Again, these are 6mg/pouch, which is 8.22mg/g.  But, as we know, the mg/pouch is what matters most.  Now, with all that being said, let's check these products out!

Übbs Nicotine Pouches:  Cola Ice

Flavor Description:  "The classic sweet taste of cola".

Review:  This one has a really nice smell to it.  Opening up the can, it's a sweet aroma of cola with a dash of cinnamon to it.  The pouches are lighter in weight, but still decently soft and comfortable under the lip.  They have a moderate moisture amount, and a pretty steady flavor release.  The taste on this one caught me off guard, it's really interesting.  It's mostly a mild, sweet taste of cola.  But, like the aroma, there's this cinnamon spice that comes in from the back that mixes really well with that cola!  The nicotine kick feels a little below regular strength, but has a decent feel to it.  It's light, but not too low.  The flavor lasts a good 30-40 minutes, on average.

 

Übbs Nicotine Pouches:  Menthol

Flavor Description:  "An invigorating combination of eucalyptus and menthol".

Review:  The pouch, nicotine release, and flavor longevity is the same on this one as the last one.  The differences will be in the aroma and flavor department.   When I opened up the can, I noticed this one didn't smell much like menthol.  To me, it was mostly a slightly sweet peppermint.  There's a subtle menthol to the aroma, but it's not that bold.  There's a little cooling sensation in the lip from the mint, as well.  In the flavor, it's a semi-sweet taste of mint.  It's on the milder side and is mostly peppermint, but with a little hint of menthol in the back.

Flavor Description:  "The classic, full-bodied taste of watermelon".

Review:  Like the previous one, the pouch, nicotine release, and flavor longevity is going to be the same on this one.  The differences will be in aroma and flavor.  Opening up the can, I notice the aroma is on the milder side, but not weak or anything.  The watermelon comes through in a lightly sweet, gentle way.  Putting a pouch under my lip, I found the taste to be pretty refreshing.  It's lightly sweet, and has a mild, smooth, natural taste of watermelon to it.  It's not overly sweet, again, which is something I like about this one.

Rating and Final Thoughts

All in, I thought these were pretty decent pouches.  Looking at them from the American perspective, these are pretty solid when stacked up against a lot of what is available on the US market.  The pouches were nice, the aromas and flavors were solid, and the nicotine release and flavor longevity was satisfactory.  That makes these pretty well rounded pouches.  Cola came out on top for me, at 3.59/5, followed by Melon at 3.42/5, and Menthol at 3.25/5.  Not bad stuff!
