Gritt Nicotine Pouches (Crisp Ice & Frost Bite) Extra Strong - Reviews. 27 May 2023.

Today, we got our hands on a couple new product from Ministry of Snus in Denmark!  We're checking out some Gritt Nicotine Pouches, Frost Bite and Crisp Ice!  The Gritt line launched a little while back with some lower strength products, and now they have released some even stronger ones!  These products come in a 12 gram can with 20 pouches, weighing 0.6g each.  While the nicotine content is 20mg/g (2.0%), the lighter pouches actually break it down a little lower, to 12mg/pouch.  So while it may be called "extra strong", it's actually a strong.  Before we get into the reviews, I want to cover the commonalities in these products as they're both basically the same other than minor differences in flavor and aroma.

Commonalities:

Pouch/Mouthfeel - The pouch is slim, and moderately soft with a decent moisture amount.  They both feel good under the lip, and both come with a decent cooling sensation.  

Nicotine Strength - While both of these are listed as an "extra strong", the 12mg/pouch strength delivers at about the strong level.

Flavor Longevity - They both tend to have about 40-45 minutes of flavor longevity.

Now, with that being said, let's get into the reviews!

Gritt Crisp Ice

Flavor Description:  "A sweet taste of mint".

Review:  Opening up the can, I notice a sharp, icy aroma of peppermint.  It has a subtle sweetness to it, as well.  In the flavor, the mint is pretty present, and powerful.  It's a more icy taste of peppermint, with just a little sweetness to it.

 

Gritt Frost Bite

Flavor Description:  "A sweet taste of mint".

Review:  Honestly, with this one, I didn't notice too much of a difference.  If you gave me a blind taste test, I'm not sure I could tell them apart.  It is a minty one, with a little sweetness.  It's pretty refreshing, but perhaps not as bold as the previous one?  I dunno.  In the flavor, a present, but smooth taste of mint.  It's seems like it could be a hair sweeter, and maybe not quite as sharp as the previous one.  But again, the two kinda blur together for me.

Rating and Final Thoughts

In the end, these both got the same rating for me, 3/5.  I can pick out some minor differences between both, but honestly, they're not that different.  Both are strong, icy mint nicotine pouches.  Pretty standard, run of the mill product.  So, nothing exciting for me.  But, if you like mint nicotine pouches and like trying out new things, give these a go, you may enjoy them.
