ZoneX Hot Beat (Nicotine Pouches) - Review. 27 February 2023.

I first encountered Skruf's ZoneX line back in late 2021.  Since then, this line of nicotine pouches has been growing more and more and including some pretty intriguing flavors!  This one, for example, is one that definitely piqued my curiosity.  The flavor description says, "with a fiery and sour tasting experience created by notes of spicy sriracha and bitter lime".  If you've never had sriracha, go grab yourself a bottle and come back to this review.  It's that good.  It's a condiment you see a lot in Chinese restaurants (well, around here at least), and it's a chili pepper-based sauce.  It's quite tasty.  As far as this product goes, each can weighs in at 15.4g and has 24 pouches each for 0.64g pouches.  The nicotine content is said to be 10mg/pouch, so doing some backward math that's 15.52.mg/g in total.  However, as I've said before, mg/pouch is what matters most because that's the nicotine you actually get.

I was pretty excited to try this one out, so let's talk about it!  Opening up the can, I notice a pretty even mix of lime and pepper.  It almost has a slight smoky presence to it, as well.  The pouches are slim, with a soft fit in the lip.  They're semi-moist/semi-dry, kinda in the middle.  They feel comfortable against the gum, and have a little burn that comes on when you put one in.  In the flavor profile, it's pretty solid!  The lime and pepper are pretty evenly balanced.  The lime is tart, but faintly sweet.  The pepper throws in a little spice into the mix which works pretty well with the lime.  The nicotine strength on this one feels to be about the regular level.  I find the flavor hangs out for about 35-40 minutes, on average.

Rating and Final Thoughts

This one was pretty solid.  In the flavor department alone I put it at 3.25/5, which is pretty high for a nicotine pouch for me.  Overall, it rated at 3.17/5.  This one wasn't too bad though, I actually liked it.  Pepper and lime are good bedfellows, so the flavors mixed pretty well together in the end.  If you like it spicy, or like the tart taste of lime, you're going to dig this one!
