Cannadips Sleep Fuel (CBN+Melatonin Pouches) - Review. 4 November 2022.

he folks at Cannadips are always coming out with something new.  They originated the CBD and THC pouch category.  They followed it up with CBD-free "terpene pouches".  Now they've brought some more new stuff to the market - such as Go Fuel Pouches (CBG+Caffeine) and Sleep Fuel Pouches (CBN+Melatonin).  In this review, we'll be talking about Sleep Fuel!  This is how the Cannadips site describes these:  "Each can is sporting 150mg of CBN and is ready to unleash your dreams swiftly and effectively.  The perfect marriage of two compounds that when combined provide a leading sleep enhancer in a delivery system that has never been done before.  Let the Coastal Cowboys tuck you in at night with Sleep Fuel".  If you're not familiar with CBN, or cannabigerol, don't feel bad.  Prior to this review I wasn't either.  I did some research and found that cannabinol is considered a "weaker version of THC".  It's to known to cause drowsiness and help with sleep.  It can also counter the "hangover effect" from melatonin.

Can Contents - 8.25 grams / 15 pouches / 0.55g per pouch

CBG Content - Each pouch contains 10mg of CBN and 2mg of melatonin

Product Commonalities:

Pouch / Mouthfeel - Like other Cannadips products, these are the slightly dryer pouches.  They are pretty soft, and as they get more moist under the lip they soften up and release more flavor.

Flavor Longevity - Like with other Cannadips products, the flavor lasts quite a while.  I've found these to last well over an hour, sometimes up to 1.5 hours.

Effect - I have trouble sleeping, from time to time, and I find myself waking up a lot in the evening.  I don't usually mess with melatonin much because of that "hangover effect".  So, over several weeks I tried these out to see what the effect would be.  I did find, on the whole, when used regularly at night, I did observe better, longer lasting sleep.  So, as far as I go, pretty pleased with these.

Now, let's get into the reviews and how they differ, which is going to be in the aroma and the flavor.

Cannadips Sleep Fuel: Peach

Flavor Description:  "Peach"

Review:  This is a flavor I enjoyed in the regular Cannadips CBD series.  I was excited to see it transition to this series, as well.  In the aroma, it's a pretty nice aroma of natural peach.  It's lightly sweet, and has a smooth vanilla character in the background.  The flavor is quite nice.  The peach taste is juicy, sweet, and natural.  The warm vanilla tones mingle in and mix quite well with the peach taste.  It's a very enjoyable mix!

Cannadips Sleep Fuel: Mint

Flavor Description:  "Mint"

Review:  I enjoyed this one because usually at night, if I sleep with a pouch in, it's mint.  So, I enjoyed that about this one.  If you've ever had regular Cannadips CBD Mint, this one tastes a lot like that one.  The aroma of smooth, sweet peppermint greets you when you open the can.  Under the lip, you'll encounter a nice cooling presence due to the mint flavor.  In the taste, much like the aroma, it's a present, natural taste of peppermint.  It's semi-sweet, and quite refreshing in nature!

Cannadips Sleep Fuel: Caramel

Flavor Description:  "Caramel"

Review:  When they first tested these, this was the flavor I got to try out when they were evaluating this series.  Caramel is a new flavor for Cannadips, and I enjoyed it when it was being tested.  When I saw the full line released, I was pleased to see this flavor come back!  Caramel is an enjoyable, relaxing flavor, that can be used at the end of the day to wind down.  In the aroma, there's a smooth presence of caramel.  It's almost buttery, and has a subtle sweetness to it.  The flavor is quite nice.  The caramel is rich, and present.  It's smooth in nature.  It is semi-sweet, but I don't find it to be too overly sweet.

Rating and Final Thoughts

I was pretty impressed with this series.  I like how Cannadips is always innovating and coming up with new products, flavors, and formats.  As someone who struggles with sleep from time to time, I found this one to be a nice sleep aid.  It helps me go to sleep, and stay asleep.  And, I didn't find any major hangover when waking up, which was nice!  I liked the peach flavor the most, at 4.38/5.  The other two were pretty good too, with mint and caramel both rating at 4.04/5.
