I recently stumbled across a new release in the Velo series that I found myself quite curious to try out. This is a limited edition product released for the Summer of 2022: Velo Wild Lavender! BAT / Fiedler and Lundgren has experimented with the lavender flavor before in a few other products, including
2021's Lyft Lab "In Full Bloom", and later that year a white tobacco product called
Epok Lavender Lush. It's usually flavor added to products, but lavender never really gets top billing. The
flavor description for this one says, "
Inspired by the Swedish floras with taste of lavender". Each can weighs 14.7g and has 21 portions, for 0.7g each. The nicotine content says 10mg/portion on the bottom of the can, which is around 14.28mg/g in total.
This is a pretty interesting product. You wouldn't think of lavender to be the sole focus of a product, but this one delivers it in a surprising, flavorful way. When you open the can, you'll encounter a soft aroma of lavender. It's sweet, mild, and gentle in nature. It is a very relaxing, mellow floral aroma. The pouches are slim, soft, and semi-moist. It's the same, high quality pouch you may know from Lyft, or Velo, for example. The flavor is intriguing, and gentle. I pick up a sweet, floral taste of lavender. It's mellow, and not overdone. There also seems to be a faint dab of pepper to it. The nicotine strength is about regular, with a steady, stable delivery. The flavor, on average, lasts about 40 to 45 minutes.
Rating and Final Thoughts
This one was a pretty enjoyable product. While not something I'd use all the time, I still found it to be flavorful, and intriguing. I rated this one at 3.33/5. If I were a nicotine pouch user, I could see this being something I'd use occasionally, but not a full time product. If you like floral tastes and aromas, though, this one may be right up your alley. As it's a limited edition release, you should grab some before it's gone!
