Meet Artisan Snus - Q&A! 6 February 2022.

I started Snubie.com almost 13 years ago, and over the past several years I've been fortunate enough to collaborate with manufacturers all over the world to release various products:  snus, nasal snuff, nicotine pouches, and more.  The reason I do this is because I feel like there are a lot of holes in the market that consumers are looking for the manufacturers seem to miss, almost like they are blind spots.  Over the years, every product I have made has been a limited edition, small series.  However, this new project, Artisan Snus, is my biggest and most exciting project to date. I get a lot of questions about it, and while I can't reveal everything yet, there are a lot of details I can share to help answer some of the common questions I get.

What is Artisan Snus?

Artisan Snus is a collaboration between Snubie.com and The Snus Factory in Sweden.

Why Artisan Snus?

It feels like the snus market/industry has been moving away from real, tobacco-containing snus.  There hasn't been a focus on it, and it feels manufacturers have left behind snus-enthusiasts and tobacco-enthusiasts to embrace the new tobacco-free crowd.  Artisan Snus seeks to remedy that problem by embracing the roots and heritage of the snus industry.  

Is Artisan a limited edition?

Artisan is a long term endeavor; this product line will have a core line of products that will always be sold.  However, we will also do limited editions:  4 per year, with one releasing each season.

Will Artisan Snus continue the level of community involvement with the snus community the brand has maintained since the beginning?

Yes, absolutely.  The snus community is the lifeblood of Artisan Snus.  This brand has been developed, from the ground up, every step of the way, with feedback from the snus community.  We will continue to make products that you vote for and that you want.  We won't pump out an endless stream of Super Strong White Dry Mint Snus, because the market doesn't need anymore of that.  What it does need is more unique flavors, and a product line focused on quality tobacco and unique flavors.  And Artisan Snus wants to deliver that to you, the community.

What flavors will come in the Artisan Snus range?  How many products will launch in the Artisan line?

These are the four flavors we'll be starting the Artisan line with:  

1.  Artisan Signature Blend (Original Portion)

2.  Artisan Signature Blend (White Portion)

3.  Artisan Dark Vanilla (Original Portion)

4.  Artisan Espresso (Original Portion)

Will there be loose/lössnus in the Artisan series?

While loose doesn't sell very well, it is still a major part of the heritage and history of snus.  And I personally am a big loose fan/enthusiast.  Yes, there absolutely will be loose releases in the Artisan Snus line.

Will there be long cut/single cut in the Artisan series?

While I can't guarantee it, it is something I'm very interested in doing.  I can't guarantee a timeframe on it, but it is on my radar of something I want to do.

What strengths will Artisan Snus come in?

One pledge I will make is that we won't release anything over extra strong.  We currently aren't even developing any products at the extra strong level.  Artisan focuses on high quality tobacco and great flavors, and snus at a normal, humane strength.  We mostly test between regular strength to strong so that the focus of the snus can remain, as it historically has, on the flavor and quality of the tobacco.

Will there be chew bags in the Artisan line for people who can't get snus?

Yes, we will release a few chew bag products in the Artisan line for people who don't have access to snus. We will announce those shortly!

Will there be nicotine pouches in the Artisan line for people who don't use tobacco?

Yes, the Artisan line will include Artisan Premium All White (Craft Nicotine Pouches).  With the Artisan family, we are attempting to revolutionize the smokeless industry and give it the waking up it needs.  We're doing that with our snus line, but we're also doing it with the all white line.  This line won't overtake our focus on snus, nor will we make more nicotine pouches than snus, but we're approaching it in a way that no one has before.  Artisan All White will be a craft nicotine pouch series, meaning it won't be focused on rushing out a sub-par product.  It will, instead, be a craft, high quality all white product.  We'll announce these shortly, as well!

What is the release date of Artisan Snus? 

We aren't sure on a firm release date yet but will keep you updated.  There are a lot of supply chain issues in the world that have been causing us production delays.  We are hoping to have it out before the summer of 2022.

Will Artisan be sold in stores in the US?

No, the FDA process is too costly and long lasting.  However, Artisan Snus will be sold online from Sweden to anywhere in the world that snus is legal.  Most stores ship quickly, so you can have your Artisan Snus to your door in a few days.

What about places where snus is illegal?  What about those who don't use tobacco but still follow Snubie.com?

Yes, I recognize that not everyone can get snus.  I do plan on releasing some chew bag products to places where they can't get snus.  And yes, I will also do some nicotine pouches.  While I don't personally use them, I recognize that a big chunk of the Snubie audience does use them, so I'll seek to release some unique, premium nicotine pouches for that audience.
