McChrystal's Sicilian Burst (Nasal Snuff) - Review. 24 February 2022.

With the snus market getting smaller the past few years (thanks to the rise of nicotine pouches), there haven't been a lot of new smokeless tobacco products for me to review.  That has led me to start adding nasal snuff reviews here to Snubie.com.  I've been using and enjoying nasal snuff for quite some time, and figured it was time to add these reviews here!  McChrystals is a UK based company going back to 1926.  They're currently in their fourth generation running the company.  The product description for this one says, "McChrystal's Sicilian Burst has the true flavor of Sfusato lemons whose exquisite citrus aromas have been captured in a tin. The bright tart flavor has a perfect marriage with the pastoral scent of complex tobaccos whose combination offers a pleasurable dose of endorphins".  This is a 3.5 gram mini tin.

Opening the tin, the aroma that comes straight through is a nice, light aroma of lemon.  This one has a medium grind, and a medium moisture amount.  It's pretty easy to take, as well.  The aroma is pretty nice.  It's a nice spring presence, for me.  I'm a big fan of citrus, and this is different from the usual bergamot products that I enjoy.  This one is lighter, and brighter.  I pick up a light lemon, along with a gentle tobacco.  It has a semi-floral presence to it, as well.  It doesn't have a major throat hit, nor does it really have much drip to it.  In terms of nicotine strength, it's pretty average, and has a decent hit to it.  The aroma doesn't linger too much, but there is a little lemon presence that hangs out for a minute.

Rating and Final Thoughts

I rated this one at 3.21/5.  I like citrus products, and found myself enjoying this one.  The lemon comes through in a nice way that is pretty light, airy, and enjoyable.  I enjoy McChrystal's products, and it's been fun really diving into them lately.  If you're looking for a snuff company to check out, McChrystal's makes some solid stuff!
