Over the past few years, I've been getting really into CBD. Mrs. Snubie turned me on to Cannadips, and I've been using that daily for quite a while now. I noticed nobody was really reviewing the CBD pouch category, so I figured I'd step in and fill that gap. Today, we're checking out a new CBD pouch product made in Sweden, 7c's! This line is launching with four flavors: Mintu, Mango Twist, Kingston, and Salty Raz (Raspberry Licorice). In this review, I'll be covering all four products. One thing I found interesting about this one is that it seems very much Swedish. On their website, it says, "We ourselves produce the CBD oil at our factory with European cultivated hemp".
Also, I wanted to share their full description of the product line so you can get to know them better: "7C'S ARE CBD PORTION BAGS OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY AND ARE THE RESULT OF PASSION AND INNOVATION - We live in an ever-evolving society. Innovation is something that characterizes our mind-set. As the demand for a fresher and healthier alternative to traditional snus has increased, we have developed a tobacco- and nicotine-free alternative with the little extra. We have focused on creating CBD portion bags with healthy and attractive flavors, all-white that does not discolor the teeth and slim portion bags that lie comfortably and discreetly under the lip. - Kick the bad habit - not the feeling. Release the taste."
Before we get into the reviews, let's talk some overall specifics:
Portion Count - I counted 17-20 portions per can (varies)
Can Weight - I weighed the cans out at 13-15 grams (varies)
Portion Weight - I weighed them out between 0.65 and 0.82g (varies)
CBD Content - 13mg/pouch (According to MyNicco.com)
Commonalities
Mouthfeel - I noticed the portions to be soft, moist, slim, and light in weight.
Flavor Longevity - Between 40-45, on average.
CBD Effect - Of the European CBD pouch products I've had so far, I'd say this one is more satisfactory than the other ones I've reviewed so far.
Now that we've covered the commonalities, let's cover how they differ: aroma and flavor.
Flavor: Kingston
Flavor Description: "Tastes like Kingston. Hemp".
Review: This one had a major hemp aroma to it. It's herbal, earthy, and almost tangy/citrusy. I dunno if they add citrus to it but I swear I pick up lime. In the flavor, it's a pretty nice taste. It's tangy, herbal, and earthy. The hemp flavor is on full display and like with the aroma, it almost seems kinda lime-y.
7c's CBD Pouches
Flavor: Mango Twist
Flavor Description: "A wonderful sweetness from mango in combination with bitter undertones from the grapefruit gives Mango Twist a fruity and refreshing taste".
Review: This one surprised me with how good it tasted. In the aroma, the mango and grapefruit mix pretty well - it's tangy, but tropical. The mango is present, and mixed with tart, citrusy tones. In the flavor, the mango and grapefruit play well together. It's overall tart, tangy, tropical, and fresh. I like how the tropical and citrusy play together. The grapefruit and mango combination was surprising, but it works.
7c's CBD Pouches
Flavor: Mintu
Flavor Description: "A sweet, fresh and soft taste of mint. Completely without added sugar".
Review: Of course there was going to be a mint one. In the aroma, it's a pretty fresh, sharp aroma of peppermint. It isn't super sweet, which is nice. There's a nice cooling sensation in the lip from the mint. In the flavor profile, the mint is pretty refreshing. It's a present peppermint, but not super in your face and not overly sweet. All in all, not a bad one.
7c's CBD Pouches
Flavor: Salty Raz (Raspberry Licorice)
Flavor Description: "Quiet the craving for sweets with this perfect meeting between sweet and sour raspberries and delicious salt licorice".
Review: This one is how I know this is a Swedish product. You wouldn't see raspberry and licorice if it wasn't. It's become a common flavor in snus and nicotine pouches. Now, we have it in CBD pouches! In the aroma, it has a pretty present aroma of raspberry. There are smooth, subtle tones of black licorice in the aroma, as well. In the flavor profile, it's a pretty even mix of smooth black licorice and raspberry. They really nailed the flavor on this one, it's quite tasty.
Rating and Final Thoughts
Of the four, I liked the Kingston one and the Mango ones the most. I rated those two at 3.63/5. Salty Raz came in after that at 3.46/5. Lastly, Mint came in at 3.29/5. All in all, they weren't bad. I wish the portions were more full, I think that would make them a little better. But the flavors were top notch, I think they did a good job with flavor intensity and presence. I've seen these on a few websites if you're looking to try them - Snusport.com, MyNicco.com, WhitePouch.co.uk, and SnusHandel.se.
Did you feel effects of CBD? How strong?
