It's been a bit since I've done a review on LD, so I figured it was time to write up a brand new article about these quality budget offerings from Nordic Snus AB in Sweden! Also, since I last reviewed it, they've switched to a new, softer portion material. I've been a fan of LD since 2009 and have found it to be probably the best budget snus on the market. I think their quote on their website says it best: "Anyone can make a cheap snus, the art is to make a really good snus at a really good price". Yes, LD is a cheaper product, but it's one that I've always said has a premium taste at a value price. This one has the familiar, traditional bergamot taste that you'd find in a General, for example. In this review we'll be talking about the regular strength LD - in white and in original portion! This is LD 30, which contains 30 portions per can - the most portions of any snus product on the market! The portions are the same weight as regular LD, but they remove the catch lid in this one to accommodate the extra portions.
In terms of the product itself, these are the exact same as regular LD. When you open the can, a present, tart smell of bergamot greets you balanced out with a present, robust base tobacco. It's not as spicy or peppery in the aroma as General, by comparison. The portions are nice and plump, soft in the lip, and they come with a great moisture amount, a steady drip, and a quick flavor release. In the taste, it's very much that traditional flavor profile. The flavor of bergamot is present in the mix, and comes through in a tart way. The tobacco base is rich, and balanced out quite well with the bergamot flavor. I don't notice a lot of salt, nor do I notice a lot of pepper in the flavor. The strength feels to be about the regular level, and the flavor lasts about 45 minutes, on average.
Like the last one, this is the same as regular LD White. This one is milder than the original portion version. In the aroma, the bergamot is pretty mild, and balanced out by a mellow tobacco base. I notice a difference in the pouch material more with this one than the original portion version. The portion material is quite soft, and feels great under the lip. The flavor is milder than you'll get with the original portion version. The bergamot flavor is there, but more mellowed out than in the original portion version. The tobacco base is detectable, and well balanced with the bergamot, however it is a more gentle tobacco base. Like with the original, though, I don't notice a peppery or spicy taste with this one. In terms of strength, it feels about the regular mark. The flavor hangs out for about an hour, sometimes a little more.

Rating and Final Thoughts
This one scored the exact same rating for me as regular LD (the lower portion version). This is the exact same product, except the can doesn't have a catch lid, and you get 30 portions in the can. I mean, it's a pretty neat feature. No snus other than this one has more than 24 portions in the can, so it's definitely something unique. The original portion version rated at 4.17/5, and the white portion version rated at 4/5. Like I always say with LD, it's a great snus. You get a premium tasting product at a lower price. Budget snus without the budget taste! In terms of traditional snus, this one is right behind General for me at #2!
