VID Nicotine Pouches: Crispy Mint - Review. 28 July 2021.

It's been 4 years since I've had this one.  The last time I had it, it was called Vid Mint (or Arctic Blast, or something).  Now, it's got a new design, and is called Vid Crispy Mint.  Vid is a product line made by Kurbitssnus in Sweden.  They used to make snus, but now seem to focus on nicotine pouches.  I recently did an order on Snussie.com, and grabbed a new can of this to check out.  The flavor description for this one says "A fresh taste of peppermint".  Each can weighs 12 grams and has 20 pouches, weighing 0.6g each.  The nicotine content is 16mg/g, or 9.6mg/pouch.  Now, let's do a review!

When I open the can, I pick up a smooth, lightly sweet aroma of peppermint.  The pouches are slim, soft to the touch, and semi-moist.  They have a nice mouthfeel under the upper lip, too.  Under the lip, you'll encounter a gentle cooling sensation from the mint flavor.  In the taste department, these are quite good.  The mint flavor is very smooth.  It's not overly sweet, but has just the right amount of sweetness to it.  The peppermint flavor is smooth, and not overly sharp or icy.  It's a pretty well rounded flavor.  In the nicotine strength, this one feels to be about the regular level, or maybe just a hair above that.  The flavor, on average, lasts about 30-40 minutes.

Rating and Final Thoughts

The last time I had this one, I rated the aroma and flavor at 2.75/5, for a 3/5 average.  It's been a while since I've had this one.  Having it now, and thinking on other mint flavors I've had, I rated this one a little higher.  In flavor and aroma, I moved it up to 3/5, because it's a little above average for me.  This is one of the better mint products I've had in a while, so I definitely recommend it if you like mint!
