Lyft Summer 2021: Morning Bloom & Midsummer Night - Reviews. 16 July 2021.

The summer is half-way through, but that doesn't mean we won't see limited edition summer flavors popping up!  Today, I'm talking about two new ones from Lyft:  Lyft Morning Bloom and Lyft Midsummer Night.  Last year, they released one:  Lyft Summer Beat, and this year have released two flavors for the Summer of 2021.  They both have different strengths, but have the same contents.  Each can weighs in at 14.7 grams and has 22 portions, for 0.67 grams each.  They also both have the neat little NFC / "Tap The Can" feature, so you can use an NFC reader on your smartphone, tap the can, and it'll pull up the Lyft website.  Now, let's get into the reviews and check these two products out!

Lyft Morning Bloom (Nicotine Pouches)

Flavor Description:  "A fresh taste of elderberry and lime."
Nicotine Strength:  8mg/g (0.8%) / 5.36mg/portion

Lyft Morning Bloom (Nicotine Pouches)

Review:  When you open the can, a tart smell of lime greets you along with a lightly sweet floral presence from the elderflower.  The portions are slim, a little lighter in weight, soft, and comfortable in the lip.  In the flavor, it's a fresh, floral, enjoyable summer taste!  I pick up light, tart flavors of lime, along with subtle, floral hints from the elderflower.  The nicotine feels around the regular strength level, maybe just a little below.  On average, the flavor kicks around for about 40-45 minutes.

Lyft Midsummer Night (Nicotine Pouches)

Flavor Description:  "A taste of sweet melon and fresh mint."
Nicotine Strength:  14mg/g (1.4%) / 9.38mg/portion

Lyft Midsummer Night (Nicotine Pouches)

Review:  In the aroma of this one, I pick up a predominant smell of mint and menthol.  There's a light, natural melon in there, as well.  The portions, like the last one, are slim, moderately soft, and comfortable in the lip.  Due to the inclusion of mint, you'll also encounter a cooling presence under the lip.  In the flavor, I notice a light saltiness up front.  The taste is refreshing in nature, with mild, and gentle tones of melon flavor.  There's light hints of mint, and a slightly mentholated presence.  In terms of strength, it feels a little above regular, and the flavor lasts about 40-45 minutes on average.

Rating and Final Thoughts

Of the two, I enjoyed Morning Bloom more, rated at 3.67/5.  The other one, Midsummer Night, I rated at 3.33/5.  It wasn't bad, I'm just not a big fan of mixing mint and other flavors.  Both have slick can designs, though, and the NFC inclusion is pretty nifty.  But, if I had to suggest one, I'd say go for Morning Bloom.  Elder isn't a common flavor in snus or nicotine pouches, so I like to see it pop up here and there, and the mixing of elder and lime is super tasty.  If you want to check these out, they are a limited edition, so grab some before they're gone!
