For those unfamiliar with Epok, you may look at the photo to the left and think it looks an awful lot like Lyft! That is true. The cans, the portions, the material inside the portions all look very similar. They both also contain nicotine. However, Lyft is a nicotine pouch product, meaning it contains nicotine and no tobacco. Epok is a white tobacco product, meaning it contains a form of tobacco. This is how they describe it's production: "Before the treatment, the carefully selected brown tobacco is prepared. In the next step tobacco is treated through a washing process in order to obtain white tobacco. This process lasts until the brown tobacco is completely cleaned into white tobacco. When the tobacco has its all white color, it’s refined with different and fresh flavors." So, while they may look similar, they are quite different.
As this is a mini portion, here's a quick size comparison between Epok and another BAT/F&L product - Lundgrens. As you can see, the Epok portion is going to be smaller, as it is a mini portion. It has a more discrete fit in the lip, but texture wise it feels very much like original portion snus or nicotine pouches, for example.
Epok Mint Mini
Flavor Description: "Experience the fusion between fruity wild berries and a smooth breeze of winter."
Contents: 9 grams, 18 portions, 0.5 grams each
Nicotine: 8.5mg/g (0.85%) / 4.25mg/p
Review: When you open the can, a mellow smell of spearmint greets you. It's smooth, and on the sweeter side. The portions are smaller, but soft, moist and comfortable under the lip. The flavor of spearmint is present, and comes through in a smooth, sweet way. With two fo these, the nicotine strength feels to be about the regular strength level, and the flavor lasts about 45 minutes on average.
Epok Easy Mint Mini
Flavor Description: "A refreshing mint flavor."
Contents: 9 grams, 18 portions, 0.5 grams each
Nicotine: 6mg/g (0.6%) / 3mg/p
Review: This one is pretty similar to the other one, but with a lighter nicotine strength. It's around 3mg/portion, whereas mint was around 4.25mg/portion. The aroma and flavor is the same, a sweeter, smooth spearmint. The portions feel about the same in the lip as well, and the flavor also lasts around 45 minutes. The main difference is the nicotine. This one is going to feel on the lighter side, so it's for people without a high nicotine craving.
When it comes to these, Easy Mint rated at 3.04 out of 5 for me, and Mint rated at 3.17 out of 5. Both were solid products, with a sweet, fresh taste of spearmint. Both taste similar, but the main difference is Easy Mint is a little weaker than the regular sized mint.
If you're a mint lover and dig mini portions, you'll probably like this one. It has a sweeter taste of spearmint than some others on the market, but it has a refreshing flavor!
