One Blå/Blue (Enbär & Trä) - Review. 6 May 2020.

Back in 2017, Swedish Match released the One line.  This line was created in collaboration with UFC fighter Alexander "The Mauler" Gustafsson.  They've since dropped his name from the cans, and done a slight redesign/restructuring of the One line, and added a few tastes to it.  This product line was launched to deliver a premium taste with a cheaper price tag.  While regular Göteborgs Rapé costs 51,99 SEK ($5.48 USD), One Blue costs 35,99 SEK ($3.79).  This one is the One line's version of Göteborgs Rapé.  Though it's called One Blå / Blue, it's essentially the same taste.  The product description for this one says, "One Blå White Portion comes with a light and spicy tobacco character with clear elements of lavender and juniper, as well as slightly wood and citrus".  Each can weighs 20 grams and has 20 portions, for 1 gram each.  The nicotine content is 13mg/g (1.3%), or 13mg/portion.

When you open the can, you'll encounter a present smell of juniper.  I pick up notes of wood and tobacco, along with hints of citrus.  There's a little pepper, and some subtle floral notes.  As far as the portion goes - it's the best one in the business today, period.  It's soft, thin, and has an incredible flavor release.  It's almost like spiderweb in how thin it is.  In the flavor profile, there's a rich taste of juniper.  There are floral notes, citrus, and a mile tobacco presence.  I pick up a faint hint of pepper, and a very light touch of wood.  As far as the nicotine goes, it feels to be about the strong level.  The flavor, on average, lasts about an hour.  In short, it's basically regular GR, but with a way better portion material.

Rating and Final Thoughts

If you like regular GR in the white portion format, One Blue is basically the best version of that.  It has the same great taste, but with an incredible portion format and a cheaper price tag.  I wish they made a slim version of this, I'd use it all the time.  So, if you like the taste of GR but want something with a cheaper price tag, this is the one you're looking for!
