Fully Loaded (Nicotine Pouches) - Review. 3 October 2019.

Review Updated:  23 April 2025

Hard to believe it's been 5 years since I've had this one last!  The last time I had it, I reviewed all these flavors except Dark Wintergreen, which is a new one.  So, I figured it was time to do a new article!  Today, we have Fully Loaded Nicotine Pouches to check out.  Opening a can, some nicotine pouch users may be like "wait, these aren't all white!", and while that is true, these are still nicotine pouches because they are tobacco-free pouches with nicotine.  An interesting side note, Fully Loaded does make an all white nicotine pouch.  These products are meant to appeal more to dippers.  However, with the FDA red-listing/banning more and more snus products from the US, these are definitely appealing as a snus user.

Now, let's check out Fully Loaded!

These are tobacco-free pouches.  I went ahead and cut one open so I could show you the filler inside.  It honestly looks a lot like fine cut tobacco.  The pouches are also super moist, and feel great under the upper lip.  These pouches contain mint leaf, kudzu root, and tobacco-free nicotine.  Each can weighs 26 grams (last time I had them they weighed a little over 23 grams).  I count, on average, 17 to 19 pouches per can, which would put them between 1.3-1.5g per pouch.  That's a plump pouch!  The nicotine content is 7mg, which I'm assuming is per pouch.  I find the 7mg nicotine content to feel quite comfortable, and hit at the "regular strength" level.  The flavor longevity is also impressive, with each pouch yielding 30-40 minutes of flavor!  Now, let's crack these open and do some reviews!

Fully Loaded Classic

Flavor Description:  "A rich and smokey, complex tobacco flavor".

Review:  Opening the can, it definitely captures that aroma of a "natural" dip.  It's smoky, earthy, and has those beautiful hickory notes.  It reminds me a bit of Longhorn Natural.  The pouches are definitely juicy, but no spitting is required!  In the flavor, it's got a good, full bodied tobacco-esque flavor.  It's slightly salty, smoky, and has rich wood notes of oak and hickory.  Tasty stuff!

Fully Loaded Mint

Flavor Description:  "Our Mint is an herbal blend to give an authentic mint tobacco taste and experience".

Review:  As soon as I pop the top, I get a big peppermint aroma.  It has an underlying tone of smoke, and some faint wood notes.  Up under the lip I get a nice cooling sensation with this one.  The peppermint flavor is pronounced, and fresh.  It has a slight salt flavor, along with a little dab of smoke, and some woodsy notes.  It's sweet, but not super sweet.

Fully Loaded Straight

Flavor Description:  "The authentic, straight tobacco flavor you're looking for in a tobacco-free snuff".

Review:  First, if you're in my snus audience, or not in the US, you're probably wondering what "straight" is.  Because straight is truly it's own unique flavor.  In the past, I've said it reminds me of Root Beer.  Sometimes, it reminds me of wintergreen.  Why is that?  Root Beer and wintergreen contain ethyl salicylate.  Straight dip has salicylic acid ethyl ester, which is just a carbon group away.  So, these flavors can sometimes seem similar!  It definitely captures the straight presence in the aroma and taste.  This one is lightly spicy, slightly sweet, and has some notes of wood, and smoke.  It kind of makes me think of Grizzly Straight.

Fully Loaded Wintergreen

Flavor Description:  "Sweet, refreshing, balanced and made with blended spearmint leaves, Wintergreen delivers the goods".

Review:  Opening up the can, this one has an aroma of wintergreen, a slight touch of mint, and an earthy character and notes of wood.  Flavor-wise, it captures that taste of American wintergreen but has a slight minty nature to it.  The base is earthy, semi-sweet, and has notes of wood in the background.  It's not super smoky, and is a pretty well rounded flavor.

Fully Loaded Dark Wintergreen

Flavor Description:  "The bold, rich, dark wintergreen flavor you've always wanted",

Review:  What's interesting about this one is that instead of mint leaf, this one has tea leaf.  I suspect that is to cut down on the sweetness and make this one "darker".  In the aroma, this one makes me think of Fully Loaded Classic (with the smoke and hickory), but with added wintergreen.  It has much more body to it.  In the taste, it has a slight saltiness to it, along with tones of wintergreen, smoke, and wood.  I was curious if this one and wintergreen would be similar, but I do notice differences!

Rating and Final Thoughts

I approached these as a reviewer, but also someone who is worried that eventually the FDA is going to ban snus from the US.  As a reviewer, these are quite solid.  As a snus guy who may need an alternative in the future, I think these could fit the bill quite well.  My favorites were Classic, Straight, and Dark Wintergreen, at 3.83/5.  The others weren't bad either, with Mint and Wintergreen coming in at 3.5/5.  Thee are all solid products, and I can definitely recommend them for folks who enjoy dip and snus!

I'll do a new review soon, but for now here's my old one on these products:
