Skruf has released two new Super White products -
Polar #3 and Bjørnebær (Blackberry) #2. The Super White line is a line of nicotine pouch products that contain nicotine, but no tobacco. It launched in 2018 with
Fresh #2 and
Fresh #3.
Cassice #2 (Black Currant), a favorite of mine, followed in late 2018, and then
Red Rhuby (Rhubarb) #3 came in early 2019.
Fresh #4 came in mid-2019, and brought extra strong nicotine contents to the Super White line. This is one that originally launched as a snus back in 2016,
Skruf Blackberry (Slim White), and was discontinued when this one was launched. I wasn't a fan of that one when it launched, but I recently re-discovered it and came to enjoy it more.
The
flavor description for this one says it has a flavor of "
blackberry and mint, with no tobacco taste". It comes in a 17.3g can with 24 portions for 0.72g portions. It's a 2/2 nicotine strength, which means this is going to be a regular strength product. I'm assuming 8mg/g-10mg/g.
These products are moist, and feel like snus. Inside the pouch you'll find what looks like white tobacco, but isn't actually tobacco. This product contains plant fibers and nicotine. It feels like tobacco, looks like tobacco (other than being white), and feels like a snus portion in the lip, but isn't actually tobacco. This is an interesting product, because there are a lot of people who want to quit smoking, and many of them want to quit tobacco all together, but don't want to give up nicotine. That's where products like this, and Zyn for example, become important.
The aroma of this one is a mild, gentle blackberry smell wrapped up in a cool presence. The flavor says its mint and blackberry, but I don't notice mint in the smell or taste; it's more a mild, menthol character. The portions are slim, soft, and comfortable in the lip; they feel like regular snus portions. There is also a nice cooling sensation in the lip with this one, as well. When it comes to the flavor, I honestly like this one more than the snus one. The blackberry flavor seems to be a little more present. I think without tobacco, I'm tasting more of it. It has a cooling aspect to the flavor, but it's not minty; it makes me think more of a very, very light menthol. The nicotine strength feels to be about the regular level, and I find the flavor lasts about 45-50 minutes on average.
While I don't use nicotine pouch products myself, I would probably re-order this one. Like the Cassice, I enjoy the flavor of this one. It's unique, and a fresh taste.
