Lundgren's Norrland (Perforated White & Slim White) - Old Reviews. 5 February 2018.

Today, we're going to be revisiting a personal favorite product of mine:  Fiedler and Lundgren's Lundgren Norrland, in the slim portion and perforated white portion format.  Norrland is, according to Wikipedia, "the northernmost, largest, least populated and least densely populated of the three traditional lands of Sweden, consisting of nine provinces".  When it comes to this snus, the flavor description says, "Lundgrens Norrland White Portion is a snus inspired by Sweden and the Swedish flora! The snus contains Swedish ecological tobacco and has a clear, fresh and floral taste. At the bottom there is a classic tobacco character that is topped with elements of spruce and mountain flowers".  

Lundgren's Norrland Perforated White

This one comes in a 21.6g can with 24 portions, for 0.9g portions.  The nicotine content is 10mg/g (1.0%), or 8mg/portion.  When you open the can, a light floral smell greets you along with hints of spruce, and a mellow, dark tobacco aroma.  The portions are perforated, which allows for a quicker flavor release than the usual white portion, but a longer lasting flavor than a regular white portion.  In the flavor, I pick up spruce off the bat, along with mild hints of flowers.  There's also a dark, earthy tobacco taste in the background.  In terms of strength, it feels to be about the regular level, and the flavor lasts about an hour on average.

Lundgren's Norrland Slim White

Now that we've talked about the regular size one, let's talk about the slim one.  This one comes in at 19.2g, and has 24 portions for 0.8g portions.  The nicotine content is 10mg/g (1.0%) as well, but 8mg/portion with lighter weight portions.  This review is going to be pretty easy.  Honestly, it's not too much different from the last one.  This one is pretty similar to the perforated white version, but is milder in aroma and in flavor.  The nicotine strength is similar, as is the flavor longevity.  The main difference is that the portions are the slim white format and not perforated.  But it's basically a milder version of the perforated white portion version.

Rating and Final Thoughts

Both of these are good, but for me I enjoy the slim version more.  I find that the perforated white portion version can bug my gums if I use it too much.  However, the slim white version is much more comfortable and easier to use more often.  I gave the slim one a 3.67 out of 5, and the regular one a 3.58 out of 5.  Both are great, don't get me wrong, but I like the slim one more.  In terms of the Lundgrens series as a whole, Norrland is my favorite flavor of the whole line.  It's quite flavorful, a great outdoors snus, and one that I suggest you check out and try if you haven't had it yet.
