LD Lös - Review. 25 October 2014.

Review Updated: 12 November 2018

I've been a big LD fan for many years, going all the way back to when I started using snus in 2009.  The LD line recently went through a redesign after JTI Sweden rebranded itself as Nordic Snus AB, so I've been revisiting the LD line.  SnusCENTRAL.com recently started selling some of the LD products, but unfortunately they don't sell the lös version at this time.  I pulled a flavor description from Northerner.com that says, "LD Original Loose has a full-bodied tobacco taste with a fresh element of bergamot and a hint of citrus."  This product comes with 40 grams of snus and a nicotine content of 8mg/g.

When you open a can of LD Lös, the aroma is a rich, present smell of tobacco accompanied by a mild hint of citrus. The tobacco itself is quite moist, and easy to work with; I was able to handbake this snus with ease.  The flavor is quite good, and very much that traditional Swedish Snus flavor!  The tobacco flavor is quite present, and comes through in a rich, earthy way.  The bergamot flavor serves as a nice compliment to the tobacco, and comes through in a gentle, mild way.  In the background there is a mild touch of pepper, and just a little salt.  The nicotine levels, with a 1 gram prilla, feels to be about the regular strength level.  The flavor, on average, lasts about 45 minutes and the tobacco stays together pretty well.

If you want a good lös snus with the traditional snus flavor, LD Lös is one of the best on the market, in my opinion, and well worth a try!
