Review Updated: 12 March 2025
Here we go, Kronan Stark White, let's check it out! Opening the can, the aroma I pick up is violet, a mild tobacco base, and some faint lemon. I notice an herbal character, which reminds me of dill. I know it doesn't to everybody, but that's what it smells like to me. The portions are semi-plump, semi-dry, and soft to the touch. They're comfortable under the lip. In the flavor, I pick up violet and dark tobacco first. Then, a light touch of dill, and a hint of lemon. It's....interesting. But, of all the Kronan products, this is one that I don't mind the most. If that makes sense. In the nicotine strength, this one is about the regular level, maybe just a hair above that. In the flavor longevity, it lasts a little over an hour.
It's been a while since I've had this one, but it's the last Kronan product I haven't done a rating on yet, so here we are! If you're new to Kronan, it means "the crown" and is a snus brand that launched back in 2005 as a response to taxes going up on snus. At the time, Swedish Match said "We can't really do anything about the taxes but we can cut costs as much as possible while still providing a good product". Now this particular one launched back in 2013. I did a review of it then, and then a new one in 2017. Now, I'm back again in 2025! The flavor description for this one says "Dark and strong tobacco character with hints of violet and citrus, as well as a hint of green herbs". Each can weighs 19.2g and has 22 portions, weighing 0.87g each. The nicotine content is 12mg/g, which breaks down to 10.47mg/portion. Last time I had them, they had 0.8g portions and 9.6mg/portion of nicotine. Now, the portions have gone up in weight, and up in strength.

Rating and Final Thoughts
I rated this one at 3.13/5. Kronan has never been a favorite of mine, but of all the Kronan products this is the only one that I can say I don't mind. I don't hate it. I don't love it. But it's okay. In 2025, when the snus world is being taken over by nicotine pouches, it's hard to say anything bad about snus. I like to celebrate what little amount of products we have left. So, if you like herbal flavors, you may enjoy this one. It may not be for me, but I know a lot of folks who like it!
