To preface this review, I want to say that I am a huge fan of this snus. In my opinion, this is one of the top 3 licorice snus flavors on the market. Of all the products GN Tobacco makes, this is one of their best. They also make a regular strength version of this one, which I like more, but this one is also tasty, even though it's quite strong! When it comes to Oden's Lakrits Extreme Portion, the
product description says, "
Oden's Extreme Licorice Portion Snus has a flavor of tobacco, fresh licorice and the strength of an Oden's Extreme!" This one has 1 gram portions, so the 22mg/g nicotine strength on this one is 22mg/portion, so it has quite a kick to it!
Opening up the can, the aroma is a strong black licorice smell with a little bit of tobacco. The taste is very similar to black Jelly Belly jelly beans and has a nice taste of tobacco and pepper in the background. The nicotine kick is pretty strong and though it is listed at 22mg/g, I'd say it feels closer to 17 mg/g. The flavor is just as good as the regular Oden's Lakrits, and lasts quite a while, usually up to about 45 to 50 minutes, on average!. So for you licorice junkies who want a strong portion lakrits, definitely check this one out.
