Catch Spearmint (White Mini) - Review. 8 February 2012.

Review Updated: 30 May 2020

It's been quite a while since I've had this one, so I figured it was time to revisit it!  This one has been around for quite a while, and I don't hear people talk about it much.  It's a shame, because it's incredibly tasty.  This used to be called Catch Lafayette Street, and was launched as a limited edition.  It proved to be so popular, Swedish Match added it full time!  It also had a larger version, Catch Spearmint White Slim, which was one of my all time favorite mint products until Swedish Match discontinued it.  So, needless to say, I love the flavor of this one.

The flavor description for this one says, "Light tobacco character with clear elements of spearmint and peppermint".  Each can weighs 10g and has 20 portions for 0.5g portions.  The nicotine strength is 8mg/g (0.8%), but with the 0.5g portions it breaks down to 4mg/portion.  As you can see from the picture to the left, this also comes in a much smaller can than your usual snus can.  It's slim, and smaller in diameter than your normal can.  It fits great in your pocket!

When you open the can, a fresh, clear smell of spearmint greets you. The portions are, of course, mini size.  I usually use two, but if you like minis I imagine you wouldn't want to do that.  There is a fresh, cooling sensation when you put one under your lip, a common attribute of mint flavored products.  The taste is delicious!  The spearmint flavor is clear, fresh, and tasty.  It's a little on the sweeter side, but it works with this snus.  With two, the nicotine strength feels to be about regular, and with one it feels to be a little less strong than regular strength.  The flavor, on average, lasts about an hour.  If you're a mini snus lover, this is a must try.  It's one of the best tasting mint products out there!  If you want to try it in a bigger version, the closest thing is going to be Nick and Johnny Green Ice.
