Kardus 2009 is here! Over the next few days, I will be doing a review of this wonderful product from Swedish Match, but first, I wanted to start by explaining a little of what you receive when you buy Kardus. As you can see in this picture, it comes in a beautiful box that resembles cherry or cedar wood. A ribbon is wrapped around it, and a book comes along with it. On the inside is a maroon plastic container that Kardus is held in.
When Kardus arrives, this is a view of what you will see first on the top of the box. A ribbon is wrapped around the entire box, with the little book about Kardus underneath.
A little book comes with Kardus, telling you a little about it, and what went into making it. This book, for example is in Swedish. Depending on where you are and where you order from, I'm sure most people in English speaking countries will receive a book in English.
Wrapped around the can on the inside is a piece of tape which serves as a seal. A number is handwritten on this, which I assume is the number of the 500 produced that you receive. I think it's pretty cool that they take the time to do this, it shows you that alot of work went into making this, and the majority of it by hand.
On the bottom of the can, Kardus 2009 is etched/burned into the wood. Apart from the ugly Tobacco Warning sticker (not sure why they didn't put this on the inside can), it's really cool looking.

I know $50-$60 is alot for snus, but alot goes into Kardus to make it a truly remarkable experience. Also, they aren't skimpy on what you receive. If you look at the size comparison, the container that Kardus comes in is roughly the size of 3 snus cans. That isn't exactly how much is in the can; Kardus is very light and fluffy, you can tell how fresh it is and how much went into making it as soon as you open the can and look at it.
So that's a little bit about initial impressions of Kardus. I will be doing a full taste review in the next few days. Initial impressions of the aroma are almost intoxicating. I'm amazed, that's all I can say.
