Catch White Eucalyptus Review. 12 November 2015.

Post updated 12 November 2015:

This was the third Swedish Snus I ever tried. When I first started using Swedish Snus, there weren't a whole lot of flavors available, so my early rotation was pretty much limited to this, General Mini Mint, Jakobsson's Ice Fruit and Mocca Pomegranate (Discontinued). It would be 4 months before I got interested in the traditional flavor of Swedish Snus and begin using General White Portion. The flavor description of this snus says, "Very popular snus with a prominent eucalyptus and mint flavor and just a hint of citrus. Moderate-volume portion, dry on the surface and less runny for a fresh feeling. The snus itself is moist, providing for a pro-longed flavor release."

Opening the can you'll notice that the portions are in the star formation, so they'll need a little fluffing/rolling around in your fingers to loosen up the tobacco. The aroma is a mellow pairing of eucalyptus and menthol. It's doesn't smell or taste too much like a cough drop, which is good, considering other eucalyptus snus flavors I've had in the past do have that quality to them. When you put the portion in your lip you'll immediately notice a nice, mild cooling sensation come on. The taste is a mild and gentle flavor of eucalyptus and a very light presence of menthol. Eucalyptus snuses aren't products that I can use all the time, however I usually will always have a can or two in the freezer. I generally use them when I have a cold and don't want to use other snus flavors. I know a few people who use this flavor regularly, so I suggest checking it out. It may become your new favorite!

  1. thanks for this post. i've only been using snus for 5 or 6 months (started with camel and then switched to swedish stuff). for the last 4 months or so i've been using general wintergreen white portion. i love the stuff but, i wanted to mix it up a little bit. however, i only buy snus by the roll and didn't want to try something new, hate it, and then have 10 cans of it. catch eucalyptus is what i was looking at and your review has helped me make up my mind. so, again, thank you for this post.

  2. Awesome, I'm glad you're enjoying it. Thunder Frosted has a great mint flavor, as well, it's a good one to look into.
