There aren't a lot of original portion products in the Lundgren's lineup, so I was pretty stoked to check this one out.
Lundgren's Aftonglöd White launched back in 2024, and now we're checking out the new-ish original portion version! This is a regular original portion, which is interesting because they used to make a
perforated original portion. However, they didn't go that route with this one. The flavor description for this one says "A taste of tobacco, leather and bergamot". The can weighs 18.7g and has 22 portions, weighing 0.85g each. The nicotine content is 9.4mg/g, or 7.99mg per portion. Now, let's open this one up and give it a try!
The aroma that comes through is a rich aroma of tobacco. It's dark, and slightly smoky. I don't pick up a lot of bergamot up in the aroma, however. It's mostly a beautiful tobacco scent. The portions are semi-moist, soft, and plump. They have a nice feel under the lip, and a quick release of the flavor profile. The taste is quite good. It's very tobacco-centric. The tobacco flavor is rich, and pure. It has a slight touch of smokiness to it. I do pick up a very faint touch of bergamot, but it's not too bold, by any means. It's a very tasty snus. In the nicotine strength, this one has a nice delivery, right at the regular strength level. I find the flavor hangs out a good 40-45 minutes or so!
Rating and Final Thoughts
In the end, I really enjoyed this one. My rating ended up at a 4 across the board, which doesn't happen very often. So, all in, a 4/5. This was a great snus. It's rare to get new snus products, much less traditional snus flavored products. Massive props to the folks at BAT for releasing this one. It's super tasty stuff!
